Welcome to South China Fossil Museum. There are many different kinds of fossils in our museum. First, let me tell you something about fossils. A fossil is a special kind of rock(岩石). Some plants and animals lived many years ago. They died and were buried(被埋)under the ground for a very long time. Finally， these rocks become fossils. Then let me show you some of our fossils. Look at this one in the middle of thehall. It is a fossil of a dinosaur(恐龙). Dinosaurs lived on land before but now we can't see them anymore. Look at that one. It is a fossil of a fish. It lived in the water back then. But now it is in the museum. Can you see the fossil of a leaf? It was soft and green before. But now it is brown and hard. The fossil is a good way to study the history of animals and plants. Some animals and plants disappear forever(永远消失), but scientists can learn a lot about them from their fossils. I hope you enjoy your trip in our museum. 

The sun rises in the morning. The shadow is long. And in the evening, the sun goes down. The shadow is long, too. At noon, the sun is high in the sky. The shadow is short. If it is cloudy or rainy, we can't see our shadows. At night, if there is light, we can see our shadows, too. You go, the shadow goes. You run, the shadow runs. But you speak, the shadow can't speak. We can't hear the shadow. We only see the shadow. Some little children don't know what the shadow is. They go, the shadows go. They are very afraid. In fact, the shadows are ourselves.
