We decided to have a trip to the mountain in our town. My mother  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(唤醒) me up early in the morning. We took some water in order not to be  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(渴的). We didn't want to  {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(浪费) time, so we set off so early that there were few cars on the road. We could   {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(几乎不) see anybody on the road.

We got there early. The mountain area is about 1,000  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(平方的) kilometres. It has beautiful  {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(风景). There are many rocks in different   {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(形 状)everywhere. Some are like  {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(人),some are like animals and others look like monsters. We walked along the  {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(小路) and got to the top of the mountain. We could see the whole town. Mother  {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(指;指向) to a faraway village and told me where my grandma's house was. We had a great time there.

I am a plastic bottle. A week ago, I was on a supermarket shelf. I had a normal life, the same as all my brothers and sisters--other bottles full 1 water. I felt really happy.

Then a tall woman 2 me up and put me in her basket! The woman took me home and put me in the 3 . It was cold, but I soon made friends with the cans and bottles in it. 4 , only a few hours later, she took me out of the fridge and drank the water inside me. Then she threw me into the dustbin. I never felt so 5 and alone in my life.

Early the next morning, a man took me out of the dustbin. He threw me and the other rubbish into the back of a truck. There were so many horrible smells. Then I was pushed together with the rest of the rubbish. Soon I was 6 flat (扁平). I can't believe how thin I became.

I slept for a while. Then I 7 , I found myself in a terrible place. Everything around me was ugly and had horrible smells. I felt afraid. I kept hoping that I would be moved 8 else. Then huge trucks came and covered us with some soil.

I asked 9 bottle what would happen to us. He said that we would never leave this horrible crowded place, but would have to stay here for thousands of years.

"Why can't they reuse or 10 us?" I cried.

After winning the under-14 boys' singles (单打比赛) title at the 2022 ASICS Tennis Junior Tour in Guangzhou, Wang Fa {#blank#}1{#/blank#}became popular on the Internet. He is{#blank#}2{#/blank#} as "a basket tennis boy" now. 

Wang is a member of the Va ethnic group (佤族) in Yunnan. In 2016, he was chosen by a tennis {#blank#}3{#/blank#} to learn to play professional tennis. At first, Wang's parents didn't want him to learn tennis because they thought it was too expensive, but the tennis club offered to teach him for {#blank#}4{#/blank#} .

When people asked him why he carried his rackets in a bamboo basket, he explained he just wanted {#blank#}10{#/blank#}his hometown. For Wang, winning the game was the beginning of a promising {#blank#}11{#/blank#} . "I will head to the top spots on the professional stage," Wang said. 

BIRO was the{#blank#}1{#/blank#}（invent）of the ballpoint pen. He was born in Budapest，Hungary. In the 1930s，when he worked{#blank#}2{#/blank#} a newspaper editor，he used a fountain pen almost every day. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}，he had to refill it all the time. The ink also did not dry{#blank#}4{#/blank#}（easy），and it sometimes{#blank#}5{#/blank#}（make）a mess on the paper. BIRO wanted a better pen. His brother，George，decided{#blank#}6{#/blank#}（help）him develop a special ink. The ink dried soon. Then both of{#blank#}7{#/blank#}（they） developed a new type of pen together. There was{#blank#}8{#/blank#} tiny ball at the tip of the pen. The ball rolled ink onto paper as it moved. They called the{#blank#}9{#/blank#}（success）invention "ballpoint pen". Everyone enjoyed{#blank#}10{#/blank#}（use）it. 

One day a man saw an old lady standing by her expensive car, clearly in need of help. So he stopped his old truck and got out. Although he was smiling, the old lady was worried. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe.

The man could see that she was frightened, so in his friendliest voice he said. "I'm here to help you, madam. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson."Bryan quickly fixed the car and the lady thanked him. Then she asked how much she should pay him.

But Bryan wanted no money. He was just giving a hand to someone in trouble. This was normal for him. He said, "If you really want to repay me, next time you see someone in need, help them and hink of me."

After saying goodbye, the lady continued down the road until she reached a small café where she decided to stop for something to eat. As the pretty waitress took her order, the lady noticed she was nearly eight months pregnant. Although the waitress looked tired she was very kind. As the lady was going to pay the $10 bill she remembered Bryan's words.

She paid with a hundred-dollar bill. But when the waitress returned with the change the lady was gone. On the table she saw a small note. There were tears in her eyes when she read it, "Somebody once helped me the way I'm helping you. If you want to pay me back, continue being kind to others." Under the note were nine more $100 bills.

Was the old lady an angel? The waitress was so excited that she called her husband to tell him the news. "Bryan Anderson my dear... you're not going to believe what just happened..."

"I wish I can perform as usual, win a gold medal," said Loma, "and2 myself-value." After years of hard work, she finally got the3 to compete in the world game. Loma is a lawn bowl player(草地掷球运动员). Unlike other players, she went blind because of illness. Besides, she learned this4 at the age of 41 instead of 11. Losing her sight and a5 start mean she needs to make more efforts than others do.

When she first started practicing lawn bowling, she couldn't find the right path. Sometimes she even walked into other players.Feeling6 ,she once packed up(打包行李)and decided to go home.But this was7 by her teammates, who cared about her and encouraged her. Her coaches also gave her more8 in training. Deeply moved, Loma9 .
