People used their given names when they were among family members. But in social life, they called each other by their courtesy names to show respect. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} If you were talking about yourself, or if your elders were talking about you, the given name would be used instead of the courtesy name. 

Men would get their courtesy names when they turned 20. It was a symbol of adulthood(成人). {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

It is an open city along the coast, as well as a famous historical and cultural city. Shanghai's history and culture attract tourists home and abroad, being regarded as "Paris of China". There are also many places of interest in Shanghai, such as the Disneyland, the Oriental Pearl Tower, Jinmao Building, the Science and Technology Museum and Yu Garden.

①Sometimes you may find it hard to make more progress(进步) in your study. At this time, I think you need to change yourself. Here are some great ways for you to make more progress. 

②First, use notebooks. Take one notebook with you in class and write down what the teacher says. This way will help you remember things well. 

③Then, have a good sleep. Sleep is really important to each of us. Middle school students need to sleep at least(至少) nine hours a night. But do you know how to have a good sleep? First of all, try to keep the same sleeping time every night, even at weekends. Then, drink a glass of milk before you go to bed. I think these are good ways to help you have a good sleep. 

④Next, know when you work best. There are many studies showing advantages(好处) of night- time studying and early- morning studying. If you work late at night, make sure to give yourself some time to sleep in the morning. 

⑤Last, make good use of your learning way. Find out as many learning ways as possible(可能) first, and then try to find which way is appropriate for you and use it often. 

 On December 4th,UNESCO(联合国教科文组织) added Spring Festival to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity(人类非物质文化遗产名录). This great honor shows that Spring Festival is becoming1 popular around the world.

 Spring Festival used to be celebrated mainly in China, by about one-fifth of the2 population. In recent years, a" Spring Festival fever"3 abroad. Celebrations, such as traditional dragon and lion dances and temple fairs,4 around the world. These events allow people from different cultural backgrounds 5 a taste of traditional Chinese culture. Now we can even see some foreigners post their vlogs online to show6 they spend Spring Festival with their Chinese friends. They say that the festival provides them with the joy of togetherness.

 Now as Spring Festival enters the List, its cultural meanings7 be seen by more people. As the most ancient and important festival in Chinese culture, Spring Festival is a time for family to get together 8 welcome the new year. Besides, its name" Spring Festival" shows the greetings and 9 of the spring season. Most importantly, the festival carries common human values, including peace, love, and a sound relationship10 man and nature.
