Many newspapers and magazines have an advice page. People write to ask for help with their problems. Three teenagers wrote the following Internet posts to  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}online newspaper.

Anna: I'm  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(worry) about my friend Jilin. She wants to be a model and she's thin, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}she thinks she's fat. She always eats very little and now she's getting too thin. But whenever I talk to her  {#blank#}4{#/blank#}it, she becomes quite unhappy. How can I help her?

Peter: I went out with a group of friends yesterday. When we were walking across the road,  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(sudden), we saw a lady lying in the street. She looked very sick. My friends made jokes about her and  {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(laugh) at her. I regret not saying anything. I feel ashamed (羞愧) of  {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(I). What should I do in this situation?

Simon: I've just started  {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(wear)braces(牙箍), but I hate them. My friends all laugh at me. I feel quite uncomfortable  {#blank#}9{#/blank#}. I smile or open my mouth. The braces hurt my  {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (tooth), and it's difficult for me to eat. What should I do?

①You want to go on holiday, but don't have enough money for luxury hotels and expensive trips? Backpacking might be right up your street. 

②Backpacking is a very cheap kind of travel. European and American students and young adults who may not have all that much money often do it. It is called backpacking because, instead of using a suitcase, people put all their things in a large backpack. A backpack sits on your back, and you pack all your clothes inside. 

③The most popular places for backpacking are Southeast Asia and South America. These countries aren't very expensive, and are also very hot for most of the year. India and Australia are also very popular. Last year over 400, 000 backpackers hit Australia. 

④Backpacking, in fact, is much more than a holiday—for young people in Europe, it is seen as a way of learning about the world. Backpackers often travel alone for many months, as this is seen as more of an adventure and challenge. Beyond finding new worlds, backpacking, people say, is all about "finding yourself". 

A doctor entered the hospital as soon as possible after being called in for an important surgery (外科手术).

He found the boy's father in the hall waiting worriedly. 

On seeing him, the father cried out, "Why did you take all this time to come? Don't you know that my son is in danger? Don't you have any sense of duty?"

The doctor smiled and said, "I am sorry. I wasn't in the hospital and I came as fast as I could after receiving the call and now, I wish you'd calm down so that I can do my work."

"Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now? Would you calm down? If your own son dies while waiting for a doctor, then what will you do?" said the father angrily. The doctor smiled again and replied, "We will do our best and you should also pray (祈祷) for your son's healthy life."

The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happily, "Thank goodness! Your son is saved!" And without waiting for the father's reply he carried on his way running by saying, "If you have any questions, ask the nurse."

"Couldn't he wait some minutes so that I can ask about my son's state?" shouted the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left.

The nurse answered, tears coming down her face, "His son died yesterday in a road accident. He was at the burial (葬礼) when we called him for your son's surgery. And now that he saved your son's life, he left running to finish his son's burial."

The first day

Trip: visited the Confucius Temple (夫子庙) in the morning watched a lantern (灯笼) show in the Qinhuai Lantern Festival

The second day

Breakfast: Xiaolongbao and vegetable soup     Lunch: beef noodles and salad

Dinner: hamburgers and juice

Trip: went to the Nanjing Museum from 9:00a. m. to 11:30a. m. 

The third day

Breakfast: sandwiches and milk          Lunch: dumplings and vegetable soup

Dinner: tomato soup and salad

Trip: went to Xianfeng Bookstore in the morning went shopping and bought some gifts for my friends in the afternoon

How can you do your homework well? Here is some advice for you. 

Don't try to work when you are hungry. If you decide to do your homework right after school, you may get something to eat first. Then you should always do your homework before you get too tired. Don't wait until very late in the evening, or your work will seem much harder than it really is. If you have more than an hour s work, give yourself a break after an hour. On the other hand, don't break so long that you can't finish your homework. You should be able to work more than half an hour at a time. 

Don't put off until the last minute. If you put off doing your homework, you will have it on your mind and you won t enjoy your free time so much. If you put it off until right before a test, you will have too much homework to do. And please do your homework at the same time every evening. This will help you make it a habit. It will make it easier to do, and you will enjoy your free time better. 

Because of the COVID-19, many zoos are having difficult times. Luckily, there are new ways for them to raise money, such as having animal shows online, selling cultural products（文化产品）, making animal stars and adopting animals online （在网上认养动物）. 

For Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo, online adoption is one of the ways to get help to get through hard times. People from all over the world can pay to adopt their favourite animals. The zoo will use the money to buy food for its animals and pay for their medical care. If someone adopts an animal, they can get a certificate （证书） and learn about the animal's daily life online. They can go to the zoo for free, have the chance to feed the animal and clean its living space. 

Animals like elephants, golden monkeys, koalas and tigers are all on the adoption list. Each animal has its own introduction. You can see its photo and know about its age and living habits（生活习惯）. 

These new ways to raise money make people think about how a zoo works. Modern zoos are not only places for visitors to see animals but also places to teach people how to protect animals.
