The idea of Mismatched Socks Day is that it's not bad to be special and unique.Kids can be pride of their differences. {#blank#}6{#/blank#}

It takes place on the first day of Anti-Bullying Week each year.A bully is a person which harms or scares other people. {#blank#}7{#/blank#}

Older and stronger children sometimes bully the younger,weaker children,or children who are different.We want to stop bullying at our school. 

Everyone need to feel happy and safe.That's why we celebrate Mismatched Socks Day. {#blank#}8{#/blank#}

Each year,a theme(主题）choose    to help students to remember that it's good to be different and that all children are important. {#blank#}9{#/blank#}

As the event has grown, more people join and take the chance to help fight off bullying.

Even though African elephants are protected, many of them are still being killed for their ivory.

At the end of the 1970s, over 1.3 million elephants walked around Africa, but today, their numbers have fallen to around 450,000. This is mainly caused by illegal(非法的) hunting for ivory. Need for ivory in markets, especially in Asia and Africa, continues to push the illegal trade. This has resulted in the deaths of at least 20,000 African elephants each year.

Ivory, also known as "white gold", has long been considered valuable. Its unusual look has led to its use in lots of expensive things, including jewellery, musical instruments and art. And the ivory material itself can stand the test of time. So many people are willing to pay a high price for ivory products.

However, no matter how much real ivory is sold for, it's certainly not worth the harm to elephants. That's why some scientists are working to achieve the same beauty of ivory without killing any animals.

Thaddaa Rath and her team at the University of Vienna have created the ivory called "Digory". The high-tech ivory is made from synthetic resin(合成树脂) and calcium phosphate particles(磷酸钙颗粒). It's first formed into the shape by a 3D printer. And then it is color-matched and colored. Next, it is polished(抛光) to make it look like real natural ivory.

Although Digory looks so real that it is hard to tell it from real ivory, its chemical structure is completely different from that of the real one. Fritz Vollrath, a biologist who is against killing elephants for ivory, felt excited about the invention and spoke highly of it for the fact that Digory could save many elephants from risks. Scientists have made some achievements, but we still need to do more research to make sure that it is widely used. It's still hopeful that scientists can be able to protect African elephants by making high-tech materials to take the place of the real ivory.

Otters (水獭) are cute water animals. These days, keeping otters as pets is getting popular. In Japan, some "otter cafés (咖啡馆)" are open for business. People can pay to play with the otters there and to take photos with them. In Indonesia, people go swimming with their pet otters and take funny videos. These photos and videos posted online have interested more people to buy otters as pets. 

However, these enjoyable photos and videos hide the damage (损害) that the online trade is doing to otters. In fact, wild otters are facing many threats—they have long been hunted for their coats; in some places, fishermen have been killing otters in order to stop them from eating fish; and now, the online pet trade has become another big problem for otters. 

In the wild, baby otters usually stay with their mothers during their first year of life. According to a report, 70% of the otters sold online are under one year old. These baby otters have been stolen from their mothers. When they are kept as pets by humans, they do not live full and natural lives. 

Otters are very social. They live in family groups of up to 15 in the wild. Keeping an otter as a pet can make it very sad and lonely. These animals also need enough space to swim. Their owners' bathtubs (浴缸) or pools are nowhere near as large as the bodies of water in the wild. 

On the other hand, otters simply don't make good pets. They have a very special fishy smell. If they are kept indoors, they will leave a lot of waste around the house. This would make the smell even more unpleasant. Besides, when otters are unhappy, they will make loud noises and even attack (攻击) people. If a person is hurt by an otter, he or she needs to go to hospital at once. 

So, we should stop the otter pet trade and never share photos and videos about them online. 

Mark is a famous stamp collector. He {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(tell) us about his stamp collection yesterday. His father gave him an {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(usual) stamp as a birthday present{#blank#}3{#/blank#} he was nine. He became {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(interest) in stamps from then on. He spends {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(much) of his free time on his stam p collecting. Now he{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(have) over 2, 500 stamps. His favourite stamps have great works {#blank#}7{#/blank#}art on them. Many newspapers have interviewed (采访) him. He also writes articles about stamp{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(collect) for some magazines. His dream is to collect stamps from everywhere and build {#blank#}9{#/blank#} stamp museum one day. We all think his dream {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(come) true. 

 When you look into the mirror, you may wonder whether it is possible for us to have a twin self who can do lots of challenging things for us, like the difficult project to be finished ahead. Now with the invention of digital twins, it seems possible.

A digital twin is a copy of things like the products or persons in the online forms. Like humans,    a digital twin can also develop itself as long as they are fed with enough data(数据).

 In 1970, when Apollo 13 was carrying out its task in space, something went wrong with the spaceship, leaving astronauts stranded(困住)200,000 miles from Earth, NASA engineers used spacecraft data to recreate the conditions of the broken part of the spacecraft. This method allowed them to develop solutions that finally brought the astronauts safely home. This event is widely thought as the birth of digital twins. Since then, this technology has been used in many fields, including business, medicine, and more recently, human modelling.

 One of the most fantastic uses of digital twins is in health care. Professor Declan O' Regan, an    AI expert, shows the new method can help doctors treat certain illness easily and quickly, and it can even help doctors to find ways to stop some kind of illness before it is too late.

 Another successful example is to use the digital twin to change the sports science to some degree. Compared with the past when the coaches needed to set up a program to help train the sportspersons, they now use the data to build the digital twin to help the athletes to improve their skills and avoid accidents in sports.

 Not everything about the digital twin is good. It is clear that the new technology will influence us a lot, but what direction it will take in the future remains to be seen. There are some doubts over it, as it will result in problems related to ethical(道德的) consideration.
