    Afternoon tea is the traditional four o'clock tea. That is a small meal, not just a drink. Traditionally it is made up of tea or coffee and either of the following: Freshly baked scones(新鲜烤饼) served with cream and jam.     Afternoon tea became popular in the early 1840s. At that time, English people ate only two main meals each day, so people often got hungry between the two meals.     The following morning when I went to see the bird again, I found it on the floor of the cage, dead. I was terribly surprised! What had happened! I had taken good care of my little bird.
