Once there was a boy ①which worked for a king. But the king was bad to him, so the boy ran away. He met a lion in the forest.

    The boy was afraid because ②of the lion looked ③angrily ． The lion said, “I am angry because there was a thorn(刺) in my foot.” So the boy④sit down and pulled the thorn out. The boy and the lion became good⑤friend ．

    One day the boy went back to the town. That day the king went hunting in the forest and he caught the lion in a net. Then he ⑥seen the boy in the town and he caught ⑦he as well.

    “I will punish you for ⑧run away. I will throw you to the lion.” said the king. So the king threw the boy into the ⑨lion cage. But when the lion saw the boy, he lay down and smiled．The boy smiled too and put his arms around his friend.

    The king was⑩ surprising and he let the boy and the lion go.
