It's September 13th today. It's my birthday. I get up early at 5:30 in the morning. After breakfast, I go to the park with my parents. We take many photos. In the afternoon, my father buys a big birthday cake for me. My friends make many beautiful cards for me. We eat the birthday cake together. I am very happy.

    It was cold yesterday. Tom didn't go out. He did housework. Sam went to play football. And he had a cold. He fell ill today. He's got a fever. Lili phoned him. She will come to see Sam. Sam's mother cooked lunch. They had noodles and eggs for lunch. Sam drank lots of hot water. It's good for him.

    I like sports. My favourite sport is basketball. At 8:00a.m. ,I go to school and play basketball with my friends.  In the afternoon, I play basketball. In the evening, I watch basketball games on TV. Do you like to play basketball?

    Many people in China celebrate the Lantern Festival. On the night of the Lantern Festival, children carry beautiful lanterns. The lanterns are in different shapes. Some lanterns look like pigs, some look like fishes, and some look like lions. Families eat yuanxiao for good luck. Yuanziao is round.

    This is an important festival for many Chinese people. On that day, families meet together. They talk, eat and have a good time.

    I'm Sarah. I can speak English and sing English songs. I can dance. I can swim. I can cook, too. I can't do any kung fu. I can't play ping-pong, either. This is John. He is my new friend.
