①American teenager Rain Price was waved off (挥手) to school from the bus stop outside his house, by his dad, every day for a whole school year. OK, so that doesn't sound too bad, but this was no ordinary goodbye, because each day Rain's dad did it while wearing a different fancy-dress costume.

②It all started on Rain's first day of high school. Like many proud parents, Rochelle and Dale, Rain's parents, sent him off to school with a big wave. Feeling himself no longer a little kid, Rain found it quite embarrassing. That evening he said how unhappy he was when they waved him off. Then Dale had a great idea.

③The next morning, as Rain stepped on the school bus, he could hear his school friends laughing. He was shocked to find that his dad was waving him off, dressed as an American football player, complete with a ball and helmet. For the rest of the school year, Dale waved goodbye dressed in different costumes. One day he was a king, the next a cook, the following Wonder Woman.

④Amazingly, Dale only spent $50 on all of the costumes. He got most of them from the family fancy-dress collection and then several friends and neighbors were happy to help.

⑤Most of Rain's classmates looked forward to seeing what Dale would be wearing every day. Even Rain finally realized how cool his dad was.

⑥On the last day of school, Dale dressed up as a pirate (海盗) and stood next to a sign which said, "It's been fun waving at the bus. Have a great summer."

Surrounded(环绕) by mountains and snow, Chinese pianist Lang Lang played "Loving Dream", "Jasmine Flower" and "Goldberg Variations" at the highest railway station in central Switzerland. The show was {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (warm) welcomed by the audience(观众). What he did helped with the cultural exchanges between China and Europe by means of music.

Lang Lang is one of the leading {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (musician) in the classical music world. Though he put on thousands of shows worldwide, it was his first time {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (play) the piano at the top of a snowy mountain. The low temperature {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (make) it quite challenging for him. However, playing in a "fairytale-like" environment was a very special experience, according to Lang Lang.

"The piece ‘Jasmine Flower' {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (choose) specially for this show," Lang Lang said, "I played this {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (beauty) piece from my own culture. And I hope to make the audience interested {#blank#}7{#/blank#} learning more about China through the beauty of Chinese music."

Before Lang Lang played {#blank#}8{#/blank#} third piece, his fingers became a little cold, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} he showed no fear of the heavy snow and the thin air. "This show means a lot to {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (I). I hope we will do more cultural exchanges in the future so as to understand each other better and build a closer relationship between the two countries than before," added Lang Lang.

On February 9th, 2013, Sarah Darling was walking along the street when she met a homeless man named Billy Ray Harris. She reached into her purse, emptied out all the coins she had and gave them to the homeless man. Neither of them realized that this small act would change their lives. 

Sarah didn't realize that she had given Billy not only all her change but also her diamond ring (钻戒) that she had put in her purse earlier until the following morning. She and her husband, Bill Krejci, rushed to see if they could find Billy. The homeless man was not only in the same place, he also immediately returned the ring. The grateful couple paid him back for his honesty by emptying out their pockets of all the money they had. 

Bill Krejci, a web designer, felt that he needed to do something more for this honest man. So on February 18th, he set up a special page to raise money for him. In just four days, Billy received over $85, 000 and there seems to be no end yet. 

That is not enough. Billy is living with a person who is generous (慷慨的) instead of living in the streets. And that's not all—thanks to the news report, he got together again with his older brother, Edwin Harris, who he had been unable to find for 27 years. 

All the good luck is just because Billy did the right thing—returning something that did not belong to him. 

Elias Chasiotis loves taking photos. He s{#blank#}1{#/blank#} a few days in Qatar. That was surely a worthy trip. One day, a solar eclipse（日食） was in progress above the sea, making it look like two horns rising from the water. And Chasiotis caught it all with his c{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. 

The photo wasn't the result of just chance and luck. Chasiotis carefully chose a place where he got a perfect view of the eclipse. The w{#blank#}3{#/blank#} wasn't good at the beginning— it was cloudy. He was w{#blank#}4{#/blank#} that he couldn't see anything. L{#blank#}5{#/blank#}, the Sun began to rise after a while. It looked like two red horns rising from the sea. Because of their shape, they were nicknamed the "Devil's Horns".

 Every day, Max comes to our school with Mr Green. And Max likes it. Max doesn't go to our classroom(教室). When we are in class, Max is in Mr Green's office(办公室). Max knows that it's time for us to study. After class, all of us go to Mr Green's office and meet Max. We say"Hello" to it and play with it. We are happy to be with it. Max brings joy to our school. We love it.
