What do you think life will be like in the future? I don't think we will have to do some unpleasant housework at home because r{#blank#}1{#/blank#} can help us. For example, they will help us c{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. The food they cook will be healthier and more delicious. We will f{#blank#}3{#/blank#} in love with such food. Then we will s{#blank#}4{#/blank#} more time reading books which can make sound. We will only need to {#blank#}5{#/blank#} to them.

    A new {#blank#}6{#/blank#} of clothes will be made. They will be warm in winter and cool in summer. We can fly freely in s{#blank#}7{#/blank#} like an astronaut to any planet in this kind of clothes. R{#blank#}8{#/blank#} will probably become very common transportation.

    S{#blank#}9{#/blank#} are making science develop faster and faster. They predict that our life will be better and better. I believe the prediction will come {#blank#}10{#/blank#} soon.

    What would you think if you saw a fish walking? Would you look again i{#blank#}1{#/blank#} you saw a fish climbing a tree? There is a fish that does b{#blank#}2{#/blank#} of these things. It is called the tree-climbing fish. It is believed that a traveler to India first told about the tree-climbing fish. The fish was h{#blank#}3{#/blank#}  up in a tree. What was the fish doing in that tree? How did it get there? The traveler t{#blank#}4{#/blank#}a bird might have put it there.

    The next day the traveler saw a fish come out of the w{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. It was hard to believe, but up the road went the fish. It used its fins (鱼鳍) and tail to pull i{#blank#}6{#/blank#} along. It stopped to eat some worms. After the fish ate, it walked slowly over to a tree. Up, up it c{#blank#}7{#/blank#}. When it got high up in the tree, it took a rest.

    The traveler was s{#blank#}8{#/blank#} to see these things and told other people about the tree-climbing fish. The people wanted to know w{#blank#}9{#/blank#} this fish looked like. He explained the one he saw was dark brown and about one foot long.

    People can f{#blank#}10{#/blank#} the tree-climbing fish not only in India but also in the Philippines, Thailand, Pakistan, and other places. At one time, people saw the fish in Florida, America. Because the weather there was too terrible, it was not able to live there any longer.

    Suppose you find a bright yellow bike on a street corner in the city. You hop on(跨上)it and r{#blank#}1{#/blank#} away. But wait—isn't this stealing? No, it isn't. No one shouts, “Stop! Thief!” That is b{#blank#}2{#/blank#}this free ride is just fine with the city.

You can find hundreds of free yellow bikes in some US cities. The idea began in Portland, Oregon, in 1994. People saw a need for free transportation, and they wanted to help c{#blank#}3{#/blank#}pollution. So, to get citizens(市民) o{#blank#}4{#/blank#} of their cars and onto pollution-free bikes, they s{#blank#}5{#/blank#} the Yellow Bike Project.

    The public bikes are painted bright yellow and placed all o{#blank#}6{#/blank#} the city. People can hop on the yellow bike and ride to run errands(短程差事), to work o{#blank#}7{#/blank#} to school. Then, they leave the bike for the n{#blank#}8{#/blank#} rider. There have been times when bikes have been stolen, but most people f{#blank#}9{#/blank#} the rules, because they think it is not wise to steal the bike that's already free.

    Portland's i{#blank#}10{#/blank#} was quickly loved by a lot of people. Within two years of its starts, similar programs were set up in cities in six other states.

    My classmates talked about the winter camp. Everyone was happy except (除……之外) me. I didn't {#blank#}1{#/blank#}to go skiing (滑雪) at all. I wanted to stay at home but my parents asked me to go.

    When arriving at the camp our coach (教练) asked us to ski I thought I skied {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

than others but I still didn't do a good job. Ha, Ha! behind me，someone started {#blank#}3{#/blank#}

 I looked back {#blank#}4{#/blank#}who was laughing at me. To my surprise, I saw a girl. She did as {#blank#}5{#/blank#}as me. "I thought I'd be bad at this, but it seems {#blank#}6{#/blank#}than I expected!" she said.

    The next day I didn't want {#blank#}7{#/blank#} skiing. But my coach chose me to be the first one to ski down the slope (斜坡).This time I {#blank#}8{#/blank#}I was flying and it was wonderful. After that I wasn't afraid anymore. And I didn't {#blank#}9{#/blank#}what other people thought of me. That day my coach said I skied the most beautifully of all.

    From this I learned that we should try our best {#blank#}10{#/blank#}every challenge (挑战).
