When was the last time you gave or received a hug（拥抱）？ Do your parents hug you before you go to school？ In Western countries, it is quite common to greet close friends or relatives with a hug.

You might hug your teammates after winning a basketball game. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Friends who haven't seen each other for a long time will usually hug each other when meeting.

{#blank#}2{#/blank#} After coming to China, I've noticed that the Chinese seem unwilling（不愿意）to hug.

My Chinese friends tell me that hugging is considered to be very intimate （亲密的） in their culture. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Chinese people don't usually hug in public. But people's attitudes towards hugging can also change.

I remember watching a video story about a "hugging party" that was held in shanghai.. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} The Chinese who took part in the party looked uncomfortable. However, after the party, several of them changed their minds. They found that hugging didn't have to be embarrassing and could actually be quite nice.So next time you see your parents, give them a hug and see how it makes you feel.

Last month I took my son Tom to see his grandparents in the countryside. As soon as we arrived, Tom followed his grandpa to play in the. yard. I knew he was1 about everything in his grandparents' home.

At lunch table, Tom told me 2 , "Dad, I saw a hen flying."

"Impossible!" I said without 3 . "How can a hen fly?"

 "The dog kept running after the hen in the4 . Finally, the hen found no other way out, she

When I was a little girl, one of my favorite things was a shoebox. I filled it up with pieces of paper, envelopes and posters that I had collected. I called the box my "Post Office". 1 I was free, I would take it out and pour my "letters" on the floor. I grouped the "letters" and then put them back into the box. 

This led me to 2 a new hobby — writing letters to children I had never met. It was 3 to send my written pages to people far away. And I loved this feeling. My best penfriends were Svetlana in Belarus and Alastair in central England. 

I first 4 spoke out my dream of being a songwriter to Alastair. Actually, I had never written a single song and I had no idea how to do so. But I decided to realize this dream— well, I should never let my best friends 5 . I started to discover my favorite 6 and thought about how I should write a song. 

As I grew older, I had more people to write to, for example, kids I had met on school trips. The freedom I found to 7 myself in letters is one of my greatest memories of childhood. 

On my journey into adulthood, my love for writing letters never left me. As I now create music, I always remember my childhood 8 . Releasing（发行） new songs is similar to sending out handwritten letters. My "Post Office" is where I got started.

It is good to give friends or parents something on their birthdays. It is Bob's mother's birthday today. Bob wants to give his mother something surprising, but he doesn't have much money, "I know what I'll do," says Bob. "I'll give her something different." At last, he gives his mother a piece of article (文章) in China Daily. When his mother sees his name "Bob Smith", she smiles. Bob writes an article about his loving mother, and it comes out in China Daily! His mother says it is the best present she has received in her life.
