"Face it，Andy．You sold your heart the day you put on that first pair of Jimmy Choo's．"That line from the movie The Devil Wears Prada is an example showing how a shoemaker has become famous in the fashion world．

    Jimmy Choos （Zhou Yangjie）was born in Malaysian and he is a Malaysian Chinese，born in 1961 into a family of shoemakers．He created his first pair of shoes at age 11．His family couldn't pay for his schooling，so he dropped out at a young age．He had to work with his father to support the family．But his dream to be a fashion designer never disappeared，so he did all he could to enter an art college and finally took up a position in the fashion world through his talent and willpower．

    Choo graduated from a college in London and had a small workshop there．He hit the international fashion scene when Vogue magazine described his designs in eight pages in 1988．His work was immediately popular and got love and support from Diana，Princess of Wales．

    Jimmy Choo shoes are known for their very high heels（鞋跟）and pointed toes．However，he does some flats and lower﹣heeled shoes for other women．Choo co﹣founded Jimmy Choo Ltd．with Tamara Mellon，UK Vogue editor，but left the company in 2001．

    Jimmy Choo shops have opened around the world，so his designs are easier to get to those who want a designer shoe，and can afford his prices．Choo also has a website where shoppers can view his ready to wear designs．The brand（牌子）of Jimmy Choo has been comparable to top brands，like Channel，LV，etc．But it's still young and has a bright future．

    We can't imagine how hard it is for Choo to stand out in the worldwide fashion! He must have made greater efforts and had more difficulties than others．And so he did．So stop complaining about why good luck isn't always falling on you and devote yourselves to your work now．

    William Shakespeare was a writer of plays and poems. Some of his most famous plays are Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth. He wrote thirty-seven plays in all. They are still popular today.

    He was born in England. At school he liked watching plays. He decided to be an actor when he finished school at the age of fourteen. In 1582,he married a farmer's daughter. She was eight years older than he was. Their first child was a daughter. Later they had twins. In 1585, Shakespeare left his hometown, Stratford-upon-Avon. His wife and children stayed behind. No one knows why he left or what he did between 1585 and 1592.

    At twenty-eight, he moved to London and joined a theatre company which opened the Globe Theatre in 1599.He became an actor, and he also wrote plays. He usually acted in his own plays. He made almost no money from his writing. But he made a lot of money from acting. With the money he bought a large house in his hometown.

    At the age of forty-nine, Shakespeare retired（退休）and went to live in Stratford-upon-Avon. He died at the age of fifty-two in 1616. He left his money to his family. He left the genius（天才）to the world. You still see his plays in English and in many other languages. He is one of the most famous writers in the world.

A Teacher's Gift

    That day I arrived at my class in the morning. Immediately I felt upset and uncomfortable. Today was the day when our teacher would leave and move to another school.

    Mr. Smith was very easy to talk with and to have fun with. He was cool, relaxed, and was always friendly when you would see him. I couldn't even imagine how things were going to be without him.

    "Thank you everyone for my time here. I will forever keep these memories and friendships I've made in the past five years." He took a deep breath and said," As a moment for me leaving, please look under your seats."

    Confused, I slowly checked under my seat to see a yellow block of wood that read "Love" on it .I quickly got it and began to study it. After seconds of watching the block, I realized that it was a Jenga block（积木块）

    Tears ran down my face and fell on the Jenga block. I heard my classmates sobbing（抽泣）That was to say, everyone in my class had a Jenga block with the word "Love". We hadn't found a way to express our sadness and also we couldn't find a way to express our love to the respectable man. "This is a reminder to always love others." Mr. Smith said slowly.

    Maybe that day wasn't the worst day, and it was just a moment of my life and l was too young to understand Mr. Smith. What Mr. Smith taught us is that whenever and wherever we are. We should love others. The Jenga block acts as a reminder, encouraging me to give a hand to those in need of help. As time goes on, "Love" others has been a habit

    Daniel sat in the back seat of the car and he was very excited. It was his first trip to Disney World, and he couldn't wait to get there.

    At first it wasn't too bad. He played some car games with his brother Emmit and his parents. They played number games. They also read out all the letters on the license plates(牌照) from different states. Then Daniel felt bored and slept for a while. But he couldn't sleep for a long time, and they were still far away from Disney World.

    "Are we—"

    "No, Daniel." said his father." Please try to be patient. You chose(选择) the vacation place this year. We told you it would be a long trip."

    "Yeah, but this is so boring!" said Daniel.

    "I think Daniel is right," said Emmit."It's a boring trip."

    "You want to hear about a boring trip?" asked Dad." When I was about your age, Daniel, Grandma and Grandpa took your aunt Jan and me to Disney World. About halfway there, the car ran over a nail(钉子) and we got a flat tire(瘪了的轮胎).Luckily we had one more at the back of the car, but it took a long time to change the tire. So when we finally arrived at Disney World, it was already dark."
