I always take my vacations at home．But this summer，I want to do something different．I'm going sightseeing．Next week I am leaving for Hainan．I am staying there for two weeks．Then I'm going to Tibet．Of course，I'm taking a lot of photos．I can't wait!

   I think the best place for a summer vacation is the seaside（海滨）．I'm going to Hawaii on August 1st．It has fantastic beaches and I like the sand，the sea and the sun．I'm staying there for three weeks．There are lots of exciting things to do there．

   This summer vacation，I'll be busy．I'm going to Europe to visit my grandparents in Paris and my uncle in London．I plan to go to New York，because I want to meet my pen pal Tony．

A young man is sitting by the road eating something. A policeman is coming over. At once, the man gets up quickly and runs down the road. The policeman runs after him. The man runs very fast. But the policeman runs faster. After a few minutes, the policeman catches him. ‘Where are you going?' says the policeman. ‘You must be a criminal (罪犯) if you run like that when you see a policeman.' ‘No, no,' says the man, ‘I'm not a criminal. I'm just too fat, you see. The doctor says to me that I must always run fast after eating.' ‘I see,' says the policeman, ‘You are running to help to lose some weight (重量).'

    Today was Emily's birthday. She was happy and went home quickly after school.

    “You have to look for your gift on your own，” her sister said. “Here is the first clue(线索).” She gave Emily a piece of paper.

    Emily opened the note and read， “Clue Number 1： Look inside the car.” She found a bone(骨头) for dogs and another note in the car.

    “Clue Number 2： Look at the swing.” On the swing there was a bag of dog food with the third note.

    Again she quickly read the note， “Clue Number 3： Look into the house.” Emily found a dog's leash(皮带) there.

    The note on the leash asked her to go outside. There she saw a beautiful red doghouse.

    Before she got there， a black puppy ran up to her. It had a note on it. The note said， “Happy Birthday， Emily.”

    “Oh， such a cute dog!” she cried. She was so happy. “I will name her Happy， because she made me so happy today，” Emily said.

    Would you like to go out for a picnic with my brother and me at 3: 30 on Sunday afternoon?

    We will have the picnic in Yingze Park. You know where it is, don't you? You can take the No. 6 bus to the park. After you go into the park, walk straight on for about five minutes until you come to a small but clean river. There is a bridge over it. Go across the bridge and turn left. After walking for ten minutes, you will come to a hill. Walk to the other side (边) of the hill and you will see a lake (湖). We will have the picnic by the lake.

    I'm sure you will find us easily. Don't forget (忘记) the time.

    Walt Disney was born in 1901. The Mickey Mouse created in 1927 made him very famous. He died in 1966.but his work and his dreams did not die. Now people all over the world enjoy his Mickey Mouse and other cartoons.

    Wait Disney was a man who did not give up easily. One summer, Walt wanted a job in a post office, but they told him that he was too young. He went home, drew some lines on his face, and put on his father's suit and hat. Then he went back to the same office and told them he was 18. He got the job finally.

    Later in his lire, Disney had a dream, that is, to build a new kind of amusement park. It would be clean and beautiful. There would be rides for children and nice hotels for adults. It would be fun for people of all ages. Disney drew a plan for this park. It was called Disneyland. Engineers told him it was an impossible dream His family and friends thought he was mad, but Disney did not give up his idea. In 1955, Disneyland opened to the public and it became the most successful amusement park in the USA. Walt Disney's dream came true.
