It's Vacation Time

It's time for winter vacation! There are different ways to have great vacations. Let's have a look!

① Playing Vacations

It is fun to go to the seaside. You can swim in the sea or make sandcastles on the beach. Going g to mountains for walks or hiking is enjoyable, too. You can see green mountains and breathe fresh air there.

② Learning Vacations

You may like a learning vacation. You can travel to different museums and learn about history; art or science there. You can also learn by visiting historic sites, such as famous old buildings and old houses.

It is a good chance for you to help others in your vacation. You can help the scientists to make surveys about animals or plants. You can be a volunteer in public places. Helping old people in the community is also meaningful.

④ Visiting Relatives

Visiting relatives（亲戚）is a popular vacation. Maybe some of your relatives live in different places. You may live in the city; and your cousins may live on a farm. You can learn about country life when you visit them.

You can try these ways to enjoy your vacation. Which way do you like best? What are you going to do during your vacation?

Many people are busy working every day. They do not have much time to do exercise very often. As a result (结果), many people become too1 or too thin. So to keep our bodies healthy, we have to do exercise every day. There are many kinds of exercise. Stretching exercise (伸展运动) can2 our bodies be healthy easily. And before we play ball games or swim, it is 3 for us to do stretching exercise first. This kind of exercise is sometimes called warm-up (热身) exercise.4 is also good exercise. But if we cannot run quickly, we can jog (Jogging means running not very quickly). Again, before we run or jog, we must do warm-up exercise. Also, we should not run or jog in busy 5 . The air there is often dirty. Some people like weight lifting (举重). They think it can make their bodies strong. Also, we need to do some warm-up exercise before weight lifting. 

To make our environment better, we have tried many different ways. Today, I will introduce one of them to you. Have you seen a kind of {#blank#}1{#/blank#} fish in the water? British scientists made this kind of fish. When you put it in polluted {#blank#}2{#/blank#}, it will become green. Why did scientists make the fish? They think the fish is able to help find out dangerous and dirty things in the water and help {#blank#}3{#/blank#}our rivers. Charles Tyler is the head of the study(研究). He said, "This fish also helps us understand how these dangerous things do harm to our body. It is {#blank#}4{#/blank#} exciting！" Charles said they would like to make more animals or objects to help clean our environment. Now scientists {#blank#}5{#/blank#} their countries are also interested in the project. They all want to make our world more beautiful.

We are seeds. We are {#blank#}1{#/blank#} and brown. It is rainy. We are {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. It is sunny. We feel warm. Look! Now we have {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. We have buds, too. We grow and {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. Now we have {#blank#}5{#/blank#} and flowers. We are sunflower.

There are some different ways to go to school. In Beijing, China, some children go to school by {#blank#}1{#/blank#} every day. They must mind the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} . In Munich, Germany,some children go to school {#blank#}3{#/blank#} .It's good exercise. However, they should pay {#blank#}4{#/blank#} to the traffic lights. When it's red, they must stop and {#blank#}5{#/blank#}.

How to be healthy

There are some things you should and shouldn't do to be healthy.

To be healthy, you should have a good diet.You should often eat different kinds of fruits and vegetables.You shouldn't {#blank#}1{#/blank#} or oily food. You should drink {#blank#}2{#/blank#} each day.

To be healthy, you should have enough sleep.You should sleep for {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. You shouldn't go to bed too late.

To be healthy, it is also important to {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. Do you walk, swim or run？Do you play sports？

To be healthy, you should keep yourself clean. You should take a shower often and {#blank#}5{#/blank#} every day. You must wash your hands often.You shouldn't {#blank#}6{#/blank#}.

If you care for your health, you will enjoy your life.
