Traveling(旅行) is one of the most important activities and people were interested in it many years ago. Modern traffic develops(发展) fast, so traveling to different places has become much faster than before.Staying healthy while traveling can make your trip happier. But do you know how to keep healthyduring a trip? The following advice may be useful to you.
Before leaving
①Wear comfortable shoes, a hat and sunglasses.
②Take some medicine that you need with you. They can be used when you get ill or have other problems.
③Do some exercise for weeks or months before you leave if you plan to do lots of walking or climbing during your trip.
④Prepare(准备) proper (适当的)food. Take bread, biscuits and some fruit for a long time. They don't go bad quickly. Bring meat, fish, eggs, milk and even salads and vegetables for a nearer one.
While traveling
①Be sure not to eat dirty food or bad fruit.
②Have enough time to take a rest during your trip.Itcan help you become more relaxed.
③Tap(水龙头)water is not safe, so drink bottled water and always clean the cover of the bottle.
④Keep food in good condition(状态). Remember: If you travel with food, keep hot food hot and cold food cold.

Have you ever rubbed your hands together when they get cold? Why do we do that? We do that for friction. Friction happens when two things that aren't very smooth rub together to make heat energy. The faster you rub two things together, the more friction (and heat) you can make. Let's discover friction!
WHAT YOU'LL NEED: ● Soap ● Water ● Your hands! WHAT TO DO: 1. Make sure your hands are dry. 2. Rub your hands together until you feel the heat of your hands. 3. Now, use soap and water to get your hands very slippery (滑的). 4. Try to make friction happen while your hands are slippery. 5. Please write down what has happened. LET'S TALK! Friction is an energy that happens when two things rub together. When friction happens, it makes heat! When your hands are slippery, they won't make very much friction and your hands won't get so hot. DID YOU KNOW? 1. Friction happens when you stop your fast running bike. 2. Ancient people made fires by rubbing two pieces of wood together. Friction happened though they didn't know it. ? Friction is everywhere. Have you ever noticed situations where friction is happening? If not, ask your parents to take you out in a car. If it is not too hot, touch the tires (轮胎) of the car before and after a short drive to see how much warmer they get from friction. |
Kids' health: Four steps for fighting stress
Everybody gets stressed from time to time.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}Some ways of dealing with stress like screaming or hitting someone--don't solve (解决)much. But other ways like talking to someone you trust, can lead you to solve your problem or at least feel better.
Try taking these four steps the next time you are stressed:
⑴Get support. When you need help, reach out to the people who care about you. Talk to a trusted adult, such as a parent or other relatives.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}They might have had similar problems, such as dealing with a test, or the death of a beloved pet.
⑵Don't take it out on yourself. Sometimes when kids are stressed and upset they take it out on themselves. Oh, dear, that's not a good idea. Remember that there are always people to help you. Don't take it out on yourself.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}
⑶Try to solve the problem. After you're calm and you have support from adults and friends, it's time to get down to business.{#blank#}4{#/blank#}Even if you can't solve it all, you can solve a piece of it.
⑷Be positive. Most stress is temporary (暂时的). Remember stress does go away, especially when you figure out the problem and start working on solving it.
