In an art studio in Wuhan, Hubei province, a delivery worker busily packed 1,500 original Chinese ink drawings and works. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} He hadn't left his studio for two weeks.

But these works represented only a part of Rong's large project to say thanks to the medical workers who helped Wuhan defeat COVID-19. They are the most recent batch of art in a project, which he will spend three years completing

{#blank#}2{#/blank#} He sent them around the country to thank the medical workers.

Rong draws cows and mice with the Chinese characters "shi shu bu yi" (meaning not easy) and "niu zhuan qian kun" (meaning to bring about big changes). "I want to express my thanks to the medical workers who helped Wuhan last year," Rong said. "{#blank#}3{#/blank#}Wuhan could not have recovered so soon without their sacrifice and hard work."

The artworks include beautiful postcards, notebooks and stamps. Some of Rong's works were donated to the National Museum, local museums and art centers to add to their collections. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

To show support for Rong, a large delivery company, BEST, contacted him to say they were willing to deliver the works free of charge.

"{#blank#}5{#/blank#}" said Wu Guojie, manager of BEST's Hubei branch.

A. Since Spring Festival last year, he has produced more than 8,500 drawings.

Paper cutting has been around for over 1,500 years. Paper cutting {#blank#}4{#/blank#}very easy but it can be difficult to do. The paper, usually red, is folded before it is cut with scissors. The most common pictures are flowers, animals, and things about {#blank#}5{#/blank#}history. During the Spring Festival, they are put on windows, doors and walls as symbols of wishes for good luck and a happy new year. 

Chinese clay art is famous because the clay pieces are so small but they look very 61. {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. The pieces are usually cute children or lively {#blank#}7{#/blank#}from a Chinese fairy tale or historical story. The pieces are{#blank#}8{#/blank#} shaped by hand from a very special kind of clay and then allowed to air-dry. After drying, they are fired at a very high heat. {#blank#}9{#/blank#}are then polished and painted. It takes several weeks to complete everything. These small pieces of clay art show the love that all Chinese people have for life and {#blank#}10{#/blank#}

Chinese traditional culture is made up of many customs and traditions passed down through generations (世代). 

One important value is "filial piety", which means 1 and caring for elders. This is really important in Chinese families and communities, and it means having good2 with family and others in the community. 

In China, people celebrate lots of traditional festivals around the year. The most important one is the Lunar New Year, also called the Spring Festival.  Families 3 for big dinners, give lucky money in red envelopes, and set off fireworks ( 烟花) to 4 the new year. There are also other festivals like the Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Double Ninth Festival. These festivals have special customs, food, and other5 that show Chinese culture. 

Art is also important in Chinese tradition. Calligraphy (书法) and brush painting are very valued 6 of art. Calligraphy is a way of writing that is also beautiful and 7 . Brush painting often shows nature, 8 Chinese people like to respect and enjoy nature. 

Traditional Chinese medicine is a very old way of keeping the body 9 . It uses things like acupuncture (针灸), herbal remedies (草药), and qigong to stop from sickness and help the body get better10 . In Chinese culture, people think that the mind, body, and spirit are all connected, and that is 11 they use these ways to stay healthy. 

Chinese food is famous all around the world for its delicious taste. There are many different styles of Chinese food, 12 hot food in Sichuan and delicious dishes in Guangdong. Each place has its own special cooking 13 and Chinese food show the country's geography and different population. 

Today, people in China are working hard to 14 their traditional culture. They want to make sure the customs are passed down to future generations. These efforts help keep Chinese traditions 15 and make people proud of their cultural heritage (遗产). 

 Most English people have a first name, a middle name, and a family name. Their family name comes last. For example, my full name is Jim Allen Green. Green is my family name. My parents gave me both of my other names. People don't use their middle names very much. So"John Henry Brown" is usually called"John Brown". People never use Mr, Mrs, or Miss before their first names. So you can say John Brown, or Mr Brown, but you should never say Mr John. They use Mr, Mrs, or Miss with the family name but never with the first name. 

 Sometimes people ask me about my name. "When you were born, why did your parents call you Jim?" they ask, "Why did they choose that name?"

 The answer is that they didn't call me Jim. They called me James. James was the name of my grandfather. In England, people usually call me Jim for short. That's because it is shorter and easier than James.
