Fewer writers in the world have ever put into prison. And even fewer took great success in prison. While O. Henry, the famous short story writer, was one of him. O. Henry, his real name was William Sidney Porter, was born on September 11, 1862.

In 1884, O. Henry entered the First National Bank as teller (出纳). On February 10, 1896, Henry was said to have something to do with the disappearance of $1,150 from the bank. He was sentenced to five years imprisonment

In order to make money support his family, O. Henry began write stories to magazines. These stories became quiet popular with readers.

O. Henry died in New York in January 5, 1910. He was buried in North Carolina, the state where he was born.

Notice

A grand event celebrating the 110th anniversaries of the founding of our school will be holding on September 12th, 2017. Former schoolmates from home and abroad are warm welcome to attend them. The celebration is planned to start at 9:00 am and end at 5:00 pm in the school gym. After enjoyed the wonderful performances presented by teachers and students, you are to attend speeches and teaching seminars be held in the teaching building.

My cousin, Daniel, is the most success person I know, even though he has had many difficulties on his road to achieve success. His parents died in a accident when he was 17. One afternoon, I didn't leave a classroom after school. I didn't know why. I just couldn't be happy. I felt such awful that I couldn't help sobbing. I thought no one would notice myself.
