Look! This is our classroom. It is very big. It has big windows. We're having an English class. There are 22 girls and 28 boys in our class. Everyone has a desk and a chair. They are all new. We look after them very well. In our classroom there are two blackboards. One is for the teachers and the other is for students. The walls look very white. On them we can see some nice pictures and two maps, the map of China and the map of the world(世界).

In the morning, the students come to school very early, and the teachers come to school early, too. We have four lessons in the morning and two in the afternoon. We like our lessons very much. We like our class and our classroom. We also love our teachers.

Did you ever think about what life would be like in the future? You may get some idea from movies or the internet. The age of new technology* is coming to us. They are changing our way of life and making our life much easier and more interesting. 

Robots can become cheerleaders*,too!

People often see cheerleaders in their everyday life. It's nothing new. But a Japanese company has made some cheerleading robots. On Dec 26, 2022, these robots were dancing for a two-day show at the company in Tokyo. At 36 cm tall, they stay on black balls to dance. The sensors* help them do this. More than that, they help the robots know where to go as well. 

Feel free to change your car's color

Do you believe that one day, people can change the color of their cars? It's not a dream anymore! Think about this, you spend much money on a car but you can only have one color for it. Now with the BMW iX Flow, you can change the car's color! It uses E-Ink technology. Just a button*on an app can change its color. All you need is a mobile phone. Isn't it amazing? How much is it? We don't know yet. 

Sleep with a smart bed

We all want good sleep at night. The Sleep Number 360 Smart Bed can be a good helper. You can choose how soft you want it to be. There is an app for it. The app gives information about your sleep and it also tells you how to sleep better. It costs from 999 to 5, 099 dollars. 

Is that all? Of course not! Scientists are always working on new technologies, the world will be very different in the near future. Just wait and see!

We each have a memory. That's why we can remember things for a long time. Some people have a very good memory and they can {#blank#}1{#/blank#} （easy）learn many things by heart. But others can only remember {#blank#}2{#/blank#}（thing）when they say or do them again and again. 

A good memory. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}（help）one learn a language well. Everybody learns his own language when he is {#blank#}4{#/blank#}small child. He hears the sounds, remembers them, and then he learns to speak. For example, some children are living {#blank#}5{#/blank#} their parents in foreign countries. They can learn two languages easily because they hear, remember and speak the two languages every day. 

As for those children who live in {#blank#}6{#/blank#} （they）home country, they have po chance（机会）to learn any two or more languages easily. They are not {#blank#}7{#/blank#} （live）in a foreign language environment In school it is not easy. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} （earning）a foreign language as well That's {#blank#}9{#/blank#}the students have little time for it and they have to lean a large number of other subjects, too. 

Our memory can get {#blank#}10{#/blank#} （good）if we do more exercises. Do you want to learn a foreign language well? If so, you must do a lot of listening and speaking. 

I love my school very much{#blank#}1{#/blank#} I have some great classmates there. They can all do different things. 

This is Helen. She is good at {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(sing). She can play{#blank#}3{#/blank#} guitar very well, and we like watching her make great music. Every day, she has to take part {#blank#}4{#/blank#}the school band practice. 

Tom is really cool. He is happy to make {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (friend)with young people. He says he would like{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (help)me with my English. 

Charles{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(do)well in sports. He can swim and play tennis. He can run fast, too. 

Then this is my elder sister Alice. We are twins. Alice and I are in the same class. She run really{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(quick), and she can play basketball and soccer. 

I always have a good time with them at school. 

A group of US high school students has changed an empty lot(一块空地) into a place of hope. The students go to Buchtel High School in Akron, Ohio. The empty lot was full of grass in the past. They wanted it to become a space that could be better for the mental(心理的) health of people living nearby. 

 After weeks of hard working, now the lot is a different place. There is a wood walkway leading to a purple bench(长椅). A few beautiful plants are already in the ground. There is also a hopscotch(跳房子游戏) board painted bright blue. On a back fence, you can see a wall painting with words like"Love" and"Peace" and the students' handprints on it. 

 The students painted the bench purple because it is a relaxing color. They think kids can go there to sit together, make friends and stay out of difficulties. 

 The hopscotch board was for a group of eight to ten school-age kids who live nearby. The students heard nowhere to play. 

"The lot gives the people nearby a little hope and a little beauty, " said Lyle Jenkins, a member of the Neighborhood Network. "A lot of people love the place and have great hopes for things getting better. "

 Now there is an empty lot, what do you want to change it into? Why? {#blank#}5{#/blank#}
