The Internet has become part of young people's life. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} report shows that 38% of students often use the Internet.     I am now on my year abroad in {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (German) as part of my university course. At the beginning of my time here, I had the chance to meet so many new people and make lots of new friends.     All the four artists gave white porcelain a modem style, each in {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (they)own way. And this is what the exhibition's theme comes from. It's a dialogue between the past and the present.

    My interest in Chinese food started years ago, when I was a young reporter for the Washington Post. Our office wasn't far from Chinatown,{#blank#}1{#/blank#}I found some very good Chinese restaurants.

    That was the first time that I{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(notice) the fresh taste of the meat and vegetables of Chinese food.

    When I learned more about the food, I began to understand why{#blank#}3{#/blank#}has this special feature.

There weren't any substitutes so people found ways to economize.

    In order to economize in cooking, they had to use very little wood. So they started cutting their meat and vegetables{#blank#}7{#/blank#}small pieces before they put them in the hot oil. That way, the food cooked{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(fast) and they saved more fuel. The food{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(prepare) in this way kept its fresh flavor and it's this flavor{#blank#}10{#/blank#}attracts people from other countries to the art of Chinese cooking.

    When I was a kid, one day I found a little sheepdog on my way home from school. The owner was the grandmother of my friend, {#blank#}1{#/blank#}told me that they were giving the dog away, and I could have her{#blank#}2{#/blank#}I wanted her. Well, needless to say, I wanted her! When I brought her home with delight, I {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(tell) we could not have that dog in the house. My father told me we could take care of her{#blank#}4{#/blank#}we found another home for her. My father did all he could to avoid {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(stay) with the dog, giving her no attention. Occasionally, he urged me to find the new owner{#blank#}6{#/blank#}the dog. One day, when my mother and I came home from the grocery store, my mom stopped me at the front window. My dad was on the floor,{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(play) with that precious little sheepdog. {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(instant) he heard us at the door, he quickly jumped up,{#blank#}9{#/blank#}went about his business, but I will never forget {#blank#}10{#/blank#}I saw that day! When that dog died, my father even cried! The sheepdog has brought wonderful memories to me and my family.
