Virginia Key is a barrier island {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(contain) a variety of upland and wetland plant communities. It {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(locate) in Biscayne Bay, south of Fisher Island and bordering {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Atlantic Ocean. The city of Miami is the present landowner of the north point of Virginia Key.

    Since the 1970s, the island {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(be) the site of the deposition(淤积) of sand from the Port of Miami, which destroyed its beaches as a turtle habitat. Due to historical clearing of native vegetation(植被) followed by carelessness, non-native plants {#blank#}5{#/blank#} threatened the ecology of Virginia Key grew rapidly.

    {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(fortunate), 11,000 young mangrove(红树) representing over eight acres of habitat have been replanted in Virginia Key {#blank#}7{#/blank#} volunteers over the past five years. Volunteers are now working hard {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (monitor) the habitat. Each month, they survey birds, check the {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (grow) of new vegetation, collect water quality data, and observe changes in the landscape.     The first person to arrive was Tony Garcia from Colombia, closely {#blank#}1{#/blank#} by Julia Smith from Britain. After I met them and then introduced them to each other, I was very surprised. Tony {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Julia, touched her shoulder and kissed her on {#blank#}3{#/blank#} cheek! She stepped back {#blank#}4{#/blank#}surprised and put up her hands, as if in 50．{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. I guessed that there was probably a {#blank#}6{#/blank#}misunderstanding. Then Akira Nagata from Japan came in smiling, together with George Cook from Canada. As they were introduced, George reached his hand out to the Japanese student. Just at that moment, however, Akira bowed {#blank#}7{#/blank#}his nose touched George's {#blank#}8{#/blank#} hand. They both apologized－ another  {#blank#}9{#/blank#} mistake!

    The theme park you are probably most familiar with is Disneyland. It can be found in several parts of the world. It will bring you into a {#blank#}10{#/blank#} world and make your dreams come true, {#blank#}11{#/blank#} you are travelling through space, visiting a pirate ship or meeting your favourite fairy tale or Disney cartoon character. Some people blame the Smartphone for the sad story, yet in fact people's weakening self-control and self-discipline are to blame.

    China, which boasts epochal (划时代的) inventions in ancient times, has once again proved its ability{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (change) the world with its “new four great inventions”: high-speed railways, electronic payments, shared bicycles and online shopping. The new four great inventions are all related to China's high-tech innovation, which improved the quality of people's lives.

My wallet is no longer in use. I can buy and eat whatever I want {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (simple) with a tap of my phone, and even pancake sellers are using Alipay ( mobile payment).

    Meanwhile, China is increasingly connected to the world. In 2015,Xi took the podium（讲台）at the UN, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (discuss)"a community with a shared future for all mankind". He explained that the desired world would be one that is safe，prosperous, open, inclusive and beautiful.

    The Belt and Road Initiative, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (propose)by Xi, shows the kind of international relations envisioned(构想)by him-mutual respect, fairness, justice, and win-win cooperation. "The CPC regards making a greater {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(contribute)to humanity as its mission, "Xi said.
