No one loves me more than my parents, especially my father. My father is stout and strong, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} a serious look on his face and keen expressive eyes. At first sight you may feel him hard {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (approach). In fact he is very kind and considerate. I believe my father is a {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (gift) man. He is decisive and efficient in doing things. By his own talents and years of efforts, he {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (provide) his children with good education and a {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (relative) rich life. Besides, he lives in harmony with others and never quarrels with anyone, so people from all walks of life come to my house, from {#blank#}6{#/blank#} I've gained lots of social experiences. But at home he is a strict parent who is hard on me and has a high{#blank#}7{#/blank#} (expect) of me. I can see that my idling away time hurts him deeply, while {#blank#}8{#/blank#} I have done something great and meaningful, such as {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (write) a book, he will be more excited than me. I always remind {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(I) I must go on and on, and never shall I give up halfway.

    Chengdu has dozens of new millionaires, Asia's biggest building, and new fancy hotels. But for tourists like me, pandas are its top {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (attract).

    So it was a great honor to be invited backstage at the not for profit Panda Base, where ticket money helps pay for research. I {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (allow) to get close to these cute animals at the 600­acre center. From tomorrow, I will be their UK ambassador. The title will be {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (official) given to me at a ceremony in London. But my connection with pandas goes back {#blank#}4{#/blank#} my days on a TV show in the mid­1980s, {#blank#}5{#/blank#} I was the first Western TV reporter {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (permit) to film a special unit caring for pandas rescued from starvation in the wild. My ambassadorial duties will include {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (introduce) British visitors to the 120­plus pandas at Chengdu and others at a research in the misty mountains of Bifengxia.

    On my recent visit, I held a lively three­month­old twin that had been rejected by {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (it) mother. The nursery team switches him every few{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (day) with his sister so that while one is being bottle ­ fed, {#blank#}10{#/blank#} other is with mom—she never suspects.

    Students at Shady Side are exposed to a {#blank#}1{#/blank#} curriculum in a safe and {#blank#}2{#/blank#} environment; the joy of learning becomes their bridge to {#blank#}3{#/blank#} lifelong learners.

    In the {#blank#}4{#/blank#} of this journey they are provided an experience in Kindergarten {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Twelfth Grade, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} enables them to mature academically, {#blank#}7{#/blank#}, emotionally and socially. As they walk down the halls during their years together at Shady Side, our boys and girls—so soon to become men and women—are learning to think, to work, to question, to be {#blank#}8{#/blank#} and responsible, to relate with others, to laugh {#blank#}9{#/blank#} their mistakes and to act graciously when success {#blank#}10{#/blank#} their way.
