Mike is a factory worker. He is often very tired after a day's work. His wife, Jenny, has no job, so she stays at home to cook the meals. Every day he can have his dinner when he gets home from his factory.

    One day, Mike came home very late because he was very busy in the factory. He was very hungry when he got home.

    He was not happy when he found his dinner was not ready. He was very angry with his wife. He shouted at her, "I'm going out to eat in a restaurant." "Wait for five minutes," said his wife. "Why? Do you think that dinner will be ready in five minutes?" asked Mike.

    "Of course not," she answered. "But I can be ready to go with you in five minutes." 

Today Is Different

	"On Saturday mornings I usually get up late and do the housework. Then I meet some friends in town for lunch, and go shopping in the afternoon." But this Saturday is different! This morning she's getting married(结婚). She's in church with all her family and friends. She's wearing a white dress, and her husband is standing next to her.
	"On my birthday I sometimes go out with friends, or I go out to a restaurant with my family. My mom usually makes me a birthday cake." But this birthday is different! It's Leo's eighteenth birthday, so now he's an adult(成人). This morning he got a lot of gifts. Now he's having a big party with all his friends. They're dancing and drinking beer. Leo's wearing a blue sweater.

Once there was a very helpful man. He would help anyone 1 wanting anything in return. 

One day, when walking along a dusty road, the man saw a wallet, so he 2 the wallet. But he found it was 3 Suddenly a woman and a policeman appeared and caught him. The woman kept on asking where her wallet was, but the man answered, "It was empty 4 I found it. " The woman shouted at him, "Please give it back to me, and it's my son's tuition（学费）. "The woman felt sad so he handed over all his money. Then she left and the policeman asked him more 5 . 

One day while the woman was going to her son's school, she noticed that 6 was walking behind her. She thought that he 7 rob（抢劫） her, so she walked to a policeman. He was the same policeman that helped her before. The woman told him the man following her. They ran to him, and found that he was the same man that they caught a few days ago. 

He looked very weak and the woman was 8 . The policeman said to the woman, "He wasn't the thief that day, but having heard about your situation（情况） he gave you his money."

Then the man told the woman, "Please go ahead and pay your son's tuition. I saw you and 9 you to make sure that nobody would steal your money again." The woman was too moved to say anything. 

Life may give you a strange experience: sometimes it shocks you, 10 sometimes it may also surprise you. Be kind and learn to appreciate what you are given. 

This spring, we went to Xi'an, Shaanxi. The Xi'an  {#blank#}1{#/blank#} history is long. We saw many wonderful {#blank#}2{#/blank#} of interest there. When we got off the tourist bus, our guide  {#blank#}3{#/blank#} at the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and began to introduce its history. I could  {#blank#}4{#/blank#} believe that ancient people in China could build such a great wonder(奇观) all with their hands. I also climbed up and enjoyed the sights from the  {#blank#}5{#/blank#} of the pagoda. It took me a long time to get into the pagoda because there were lots of people  {#blank#}6{#/blank#} in line. Then, I visited the Terracotta Army. I've always {#blank#}7{#/blank#} seeing it. It shocked(震惊) me a lot when I saw it in person. I think it's better for all of {#blank#}8{#/blank#} to learn about the history from real things than from books. Finally, I went to see the Xi'an Bell Tower and Drum Tower. I also enjoyed a small concert of traditional {#blank#}9{#/blank#} instruments(乐器) that I hadn't seen before. 

All my family is {#blank#}10{#/blank#} for going to Xi'an again. I believe everyone wants to know more about one of the capitals of ancient China.
