    Yesterday, as I was queuing at the checkout at a store, there was an old lady in the front of me in line. She seemed very confusing when the cashier asked her pay US$38. She had about US$5 in her wallet. The cashier told her that she could not buy the items because she didn't have enough money. So, I told the cashier I would pay for that she bought. Afterwards, I paid for all the items. When I got outside, the lady was standing there. While I was talking about her, her daughter appeared. She told me that her mother had Alzheimer's disease. Then she noticed that her mother had three bag of groceries and wondered how she managed to pay for them with enough money. I told her that I had paid for it. The daughter wanted to pay me back, so I refused. I believe make others feel good makes me feel good.

Dear Mandy,

    I'm not doing well in my lessons at school, especial in maths. My dad says I must try hard because he wants me go to university. He thinks I'm lazy, but it's not true. My brother doesn't study very hard, and he always gets excellent grades. It's not fair! The only thing I like it is art. My teacher says I'm the best student she's had for year.     It's my honor to give a speech here. After-class activities play a important part in our school life. Proper activities help enrich our lives, broaden our horizons or develop our personalities.

    Mine own experience can serve as a case in point. When I was in Senior One, I become a member of our drama club, that I used to visit on weekends. Since my participation in various activities organizing by the club, I achieved a lot.

    These activities bring me a lot of funs, provide me with good opportunities to develop new friendships and open a window through which I have a brand-new outlook. With so much advantages shown above, why not to join us at once?

    The other day after work, I was walking down the street while I saw a boy riding a nice bicycle, one of those bicycle with only one wheel. Just then, a lady dropped 20-dollar bill on the ground, but he didn't realize it and started to walk away. The guy in pink picked out the money and gave it back to her. After that, he rode on but soon disappeared before the lady could thank him. How a strange and good guy!

    Two years before, I travelled to Brazil and I rented for a car. Unfortunate, I had an accident and hit another car, and I needed to stay in hospital for at least two week. I called my parents, so I did not tell them what had happened. I knew that they would be worried about myself because I was so farther away, and that my mother would not sleep if she knew. Therefore, I told them interested stories and how I am enjoying Brazil. As a result, nobody knew truth. I still think it is the right thing to do.

    When I grow up, I'll work with animals. Though I don't know exactly how I can do for the animals yet, I can at least to follow my brother. He is a excellent vet (兽医). He looks after frightened snakes. He says that snakes are easy to deal as they don't have any legs. My father, a scientist, works to save rarely birds, some of that are really clever and can even say some words. My mother train dolphins every workday. They practise in the pool. She hears the dolphins talk and sing. That sounds really cool! There are so many animal job to choose from, but which one is right for them? I'll have to wait and see!
