Sandy has a big family, but she doesn't think her family {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (live) was happy. She and her brother and sister often fight with each other for many reasons.

    Max is Sandy's classmate and neighbor. He also has a very big family with {#blank#}2{#/blank#} brothers and their parents. Sandy noticed that Max never fights with his brothers. They always have big smiles {#blank#}3{#/blank#} their faces.

    As they came into the house. Max's {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (old) brother saw them. “Hi, Sandy and Max,” he said, “Why not {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (come) here and share some ice cream with me?”

    At that time, Max's younger brother came out of his room. He looked very excited and said, “Oh, Max, I have a story to tell {#blank#}9{#/blank#}.”

    Sandy knew Max's secret of getting on {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (good) with his brothers was to share. So Sandy decided to go back home and try this from then on.

Keeping an eye on London

    Summer was coming and it was getting hotter. Mrs, King got {#blank#}1{#/blank#}early one morning and went to the market after she {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (have) breakfast.     When she got {#blank#}7{#/blank#} with five kilos of beef, her son was happy but her husband got angry.

    "What a silly woman!" said Mr. King.↑"How shall we keep it fresh in such hot weather?"

    "Your aunt is very rich," said Mrs. King. "Why not go and borrow some money{#blank#}8{#/blank#} her? Then we'll be able to buy a fridge."

    Mr. King agreed and they began to teach their five year-old son what {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(say) when they were at his aunt's house.

    "John," Mr. King said, "how can we keep the beef fresh?"

    "That's easy," the boy said{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (happy). "By eating it!"
