A Clock and a Watch

    We can tell the time by a clock or by a watch. A clock is big; it is usually on the wall or on the table. A watch is small; we can put it in the pocket (口袋), or wear it on the wrist（手腕）! A clock or a watch usually has a round face. It has two hands, a long one and a short one. Tom's clock can speak and call him to get up every day. His watch has a picture of a lovely dog on the face. He likes it very much.

    It's a sunny day. Daming goes to a park with his friend, Tom. There are many people in it. Two little boys are singing under the tree. An old man is running around the lake. Some girls are flying kites. Two men are playing chess. Daming and Tom like boating. Look! They are very happy in the boat.

    There are four people in the twins' family. They are the twins, their father and their mother. The twins' names are Lucy and Lily. They are fourteen. They are in the same class in the No. 1 Middle School. They are very good students. They not only work very hard but also sing very well. They want to join the music club. Lucy wants to play the piano. Lily can play the guitar.

    Their father, Mr King, is a teacher. He teaches English in a school near his home. Their mother, Mrs King is a teacher, too. She teaches Chinese. Mr and Mrs King are in different schools. But they have the same hobby—play the guitar.

    Hello, I am May. I am seven years old. I like to eat bananas and apples. This is my father. He is a policeman（警察）. He is very tall and cool. He has got a gun（枪）. My mother is very short and thin. She is a teacher. She has a small nose and a round face. She likes red. I love my father and mother and they love me, too.

    Jack is busy this weekend. He visits his grandma on Saturday morning. It is his grandma's birthday. They cook noodles together. After lunch, he helps his grandma do housework. In the evening, they watch TV together. On Sunday morning, Jack plays football with his friends. Then they go to the bookshop and buy two storybooks. In the afternoon, he washes clothes and listens to music. After dinner, he does his homework and reads his storybooks. He is very happy because the stories in the books are very funny.
