Boyan Slat has one huge goal. It's a goal that could be good for people and a {#blank#}1{#/blank#} all over the world. Amazingly, it looks like he's going to m {#blank#}2{#/blank#}his goal.

    When he was 16  Dutch engineering student Slat was on vacation in Greece, and he started to think about all the rubbish that is p{#blank#}3{#/blank#} onto beaches by water. The oceans around the world are all of plastic—millions of tons of plastic. Unfortunately, plastic doesn't just disappear. It takes c{#blank#}4{#/blank#} to break down (分解).

    The p{#blank#}5{#/blank#} situation of the oceans is bad and worrying and Slat wanted to do something to change it. So he made it a personal goal to clean up the rubbish in the world's oceans.

    Slat started with an idea for an unusual m{#blank#}6{#/blank#} to "catch" the plastic floating (漂浮) in the water using the natural energy of the ocean. He left school in 2013 to begin work on his project The Ocean Cleanup. Soon, the project r{#blank#}7{#/blank#} a lot of attention.

    A year later, he was leading a team of 100 scientists and engineers working on the invention. Slat needed money for this, so he started asking people to d{#blank#}8{#/blank#} to his project online and raised over $ 2 million!

    Soon after, Slat was named a "Champion of the Earth" by the United Nations for his meaningful and v{#blank#}9{#/blank#} work. It's the most important title the UN gives to people helping the environment. The Ocean Cleanup also won several awards (奖项) for having one of the best inventions of 2015. But the d{#blank#}10{#/blank#} goes on for Slat. He hopes that the oceans will be free of plastic in about twenty or thirty years.

I went to Grand Canyon (大峡谷) National Park in July 2012 for the first time and I knew I wanted to work there as a park ranger（管理员）. Park rangers protect the park's animals, plants, land, buildings, and people.

Now, as a park ranger for Grand Canyon National Park, I share the science, history and beauty of this park with thousands of visitors from around the world.

National parks are like outdoor museums. Park rangers have all kinds of jobs, depending on where they work and what they studied during college. I teach school field trips（实地考察）, work at visitor centers and help people stay safe during their visit.

My favorite part of my job is showing children their first look at the Grand Canyon during school field trips. Children are often amazed at the canyon's size and colors. Sometimes, they think it looks like a painting.

Being a park ranger requires a lot of energy. I walk several miles and talk with hundreds of people each day. Park rangers must enjoy working with people and speaking in front of groups. Nearly 5 million people visit Grand Canyon National Park every year.

Park rangers must also be prepared for any situation. Recently, I broke a traffic jam(堵塞). It was caused by a huge elk（麋鹿）standing in the road. Elks can become dangerous when they get scared, so I asked visitors to stop their cars and take pictures from far away. Believe it or not, I also help protect people from monkeys. It is not allowed to feed animals in national parks. But sometimes, visitors try to feed monkeys.

"Today I will give you a special test," said the English teacher with a smile on his face.

All the students set up straight and 1 for the test to begin. The teacher began to give the test papers to all the students. After he handed out the test papers, he asked them to 2.

The students felt very strange to see that there was not a question but a black dot(圆点)in the centre of the paper. The teacher said with a smile, "I want you to 3 what you see there." At the end of the class, the teacher took all the students' papers and read the answers. All of them wrote about the black dot. After reading all the answers, the teacher said 4, "Here everyone only saw the black dot, but no one wrote about the white paper. "All the students listened without saying anything, because they were 5. they couldn't get good marks(分数). Then the teacher said, "Don't worry about 6 marks for this test I just want you to think about our 7. The white paper is like our life and the back dot in the centre of the paper is like the problem(问题)in our life. "

Our life is a 8 from God, with love and hope. But we just see the problems, and never see 9 things in our life. So we should take our 10 off our problems to see each moment life gives us.

We live in the “computer age”. Today, it is more and more i{#blank#}1{#/blank#}for us to use computers. We use them at w{#blank#}2{#/blank#}, and we also use them at home. Adults use computers and c{#blank#}3{#/blank#}use computers, too. We often use the mouse to run all the work.

Slowly, you may f{#blank#}4{#/blank#}painful and numb(麻木的)in your hand, your wrist, your shoulder, and your neck. What's w{#blank#}5{#/blank#}with you? The mouse is eating your body f{#blank#}6{#/blank#}your hand to all. Some researchers explain that we feel painful b{#blank#}7{#/blank#}we often repeat the same action—click(点击). So we feel u{#blank#}8{#/blank#}little by little.

Nowadays, there are no best ways to s{#blank#}9{#/blank#}this problem. The only way is to change the way we use the mouse and the keyboard(键盘). When at work, we should have a break and e{#blank#}10{#/blank#}to keep our body healthy.
