    Helen Keller who was born in America in June, 1890. Her birth brought much happiness to her parents. But when she was 19 month old, she became deaf and blind because a serious fever. Living in a world where she could see and hear nothing, she almost lost the hope to live. However, at seven, she met her teacher, calling Anne Sullivan. At first, it was hard for Anne to teach so a disabled girl. Helen's strong will and cleverness together with Anne's skill and patience finally helped to create a wonder. Helen learned to speak, read and even play piano. Later, she finished his college education and get a degree in English literature. Helen wrote many books, of which “The Story of My Life” was the most famous. Helen was also devoted to help other disabled people like herself. She moved both the USA or the world.

Dear Sir，

    Thank you for invite me to the summer English course in your school. As for your choice between the two courses,   prefer the four-week course because of this will allow me more time to do sora traveling and make a few mw friends. Of all the subject I'm teaming at school, I like English best. I had been learning English for eleven years but my spoken English remains poorly, So I real hope to take this chance to improve it. If possible, I'd like to slay with a family for a couple of days in order that I can knew some customs  in England- what I'm particularly interested in,I believe I will have wonderful time this summer.

    Many people who smoke say that smoking helps them think better. Therefore, I am afraid I cannot agree them. I am strong against smoking. First, smoking is bad for one's healthy. People who smoke often develop or even die of different diseases. Second, smoking polluted the air. People cannot work or study well in a room be full of smoke. Third, smoking wastes money. Every year, million of dollars are spent treat diseases caused by smoking. What we can see, smoking does more harm than good  and students should not pick out the habit.

    Two years ago, our math teacher offered us an answer at a difficult math problem in class. Although an answer seemed a little strange, but only I doubted it. Thought that his answer might be wrong, I carefully considered the problem and tried to work them out in a different way. Half an hour late, I finally managed find its correct answer. When I showed the answer to him, the teacher praised me for my independence thinking.

    From this experience I had already come to the conclusion whether questioning can serve as a bridge that helps us seek the truth.

    Last month, I took part in a volunteer activity in a village. We start off by bus at 9 o'clock. After a three-hour drive, we saw the village surrounded by hills. It was very difficulty to drive on the rocky road, so we got on the bus and walked there. The villagers standing by road welcomed us warm.

    Cooked with those vegetable grown by the villagers, the lunch was tasted delicious. After lunch, we played games with the village children. Then, we visited an old man live alone on the hillside. We sang a few songs, what made him really happy.

    I think when doing volunteer work, you help others and you gain happy in return.
