Today is Sunday. Ben is going to Shanghai Zoo with his classmates. He is going to meet his classmates at the bus stop. The bus stop is near his home. Shanghai Zoo is not very far. In the morning Ben and his classmates are going to see a lot of animals at the zoo. In the afternoon they are going to play football. So they are very happy.

Hans Christian Andersen

    Hans Christian Andersen was a great writer.  He wrote many famous fairy tales for children all over the world.

    Andersen was born in 1805. When he was a little boy, his father read him a story every day. His father died when he was 11. He had to leave school and started working. He loved reading books very much, so he went back to school at 17. His first book came out in 1835. From then on, he wrote about one book a year for 37 years. Some of his famous fairy tales are The Emperor's New, Clothes and The Ugly Duckling. He died in 1875.

    Many children enjoy reading because of him.

    I love autumn because I love the falling leaves in autumn. They cover the ground with golden yellow. When you walk on them, they rustle (沙沙响) under your feet, just as if they are singing to you.

    I know trees get ready for their next year's work by doing this, so I enjoy them without any sad feelings. The fields in autumn are fruity. People are easy to have good mood in a harvest (丰收的) season. So can't autumn sights bring happiness to us as well?

Dragon boat racing is the most exciting activity during the Dragon Boat Festival. Children all enjoy watching the Dragon boat racing very much. A dragon boat looks like a dragon, and is painted in red, white, yellow or black. A dragon boat is 20 to 40 meters long and need twenty people to row. The Dragon Boat Festival is very interesting.
