Growing up is not always easy. When we face difficulties, a spirit of depending on 1 is more useful than crying for help. That's what Hong Zhanhui's story of growing from boy to man 2 family hardship tells us.

    Hong was born in 1982 in a poor family in Xihua County(县), Henan Province. When he was only 11, his father became badly ill and one day he came back with an unwanted baby 3. A year later, Hong's mother 4 home. She no longer wanted to live such a poor life and face her sick husband. So everything hard fell onto the young boy's 5: to take care of his father and the younger sister Chenchen, and to go on to study.

    "Tumbling(翻跟头) time!" I called out. My group of children stood up before the blue mats (垫子). Megan walked 1 into the back of the line (队伍). She didn't talk with anyone. The other children had learned tumbling moves months ago, 2  Megan was still working on them.

    One day before class, Megan's father told me, "I'm thinking about taking Megan out of class." " 3 ?" I asked. He said, "She isn't doing as well as the other children. I don't want her to hold them back (妨碍进展)."

    Later, Megan did really well in tumbling. More importantly, she never stood at the back again.

    It was the golden season. I could see the1leaves falling with the cool wind. For others it's the harvest season, but for me, it is a(n) 2season. I was 3 for the Postgraduate Entrance Examination（研究生入学考试）. But so many unhappy things made me so tired, so I decided to have a walk in my university.

Gina and Harry are good friends. They live in Shanghai with their parents. They all love China very much.

There was once a cave（岩洞）near a town. It was called"Cave of Fear" {#blank#}1{#/blank#} who tried to enter it didn't return. It's said that there might be a monster in the cave. In order to {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the monster from getting out of the cave, people often left gifts and food at the mouth of the cave, and these {#blank#}3{#/blank#}things always disappeared soon. 

One day, a young man came to the town. When he heard about the cave, he decided to enter the cave and found out {#blank#}4{#/blank#}there was a monster in it. As he went deep into the cave, he heard some strange {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. So he followed them. Suddenly, he {#blank#}6{#/blank#}that something was pushing his back. He was too scared to turn around to look at it. Finally, he was pushed into a huge cavern（洞穴）. As he {#blank#}7{#/blank#}the cave, he got very surprised. He found that he was right in the middle of a big party. A lot of people were {#blank#}8{#/blank#}the party. They were all those people who had {#blank#}9{#/blank#} returned to the town. 

Then those people told him that this was the idea of an old wise man in the town. The old wise man wanted to {#blank#}10{#/blank#}people that if someone wanted to make a change, he should be brave and wanted to have a try. So the wise man made up the {#blank#}11{#/blank#} of the monster. Only brave people could enjoy big parties in the cave.
