    When I was an international student in China, I was lucky to experience Chinese New Year. The build-up was exciting as everywhere {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(decorate) with red.

This was adventurous for us!

    Being in China during New Year somewhat meant{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(lonely) though it was a great experience. I can{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(absolute) explain it with how international students in the UK might feel at Christmas if{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(have) no loved ones around them. Overall, my first Chinese New Year was an amazing experience{#blank#}10{#/blank#}I will never forget.

    Some years ago,writing in my diary used to be{#blank#}1{#/blank#}usual activity. I would return from school and spend half an hour {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(record)the day's events, feelings, and {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(impress)in my little blue diary. It was late and the small street was dark and{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(quietly). Suddenly he felt someone behind him. He turned his head and saw an Italian young man {#blank#}4{#/blank#}walked past him quickly. The man was nearly out of sight when the Frenchman suddenly found that his watch was {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(go). He thought that it must be the Italian who had taken his watch. He decided {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(follow) him and get back the watch. Soon the Frenchman caught up with the Italian. Neither {#blank#}7{#/blank#}  them understood the other's language. The Frenchman frightened the Italian with his fist(拳头) while {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (point) at the Italian's watch. In the end, the Italian gave his watch to the Frenchman. When he returned to the hotel, the Frenchman told his wife what had happened. He was {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (great) surprised when his wife pointed to the watch on the table. Then he{#blank#}10{#/blank#}  (realize) that by mistake he had robbed the watch and it was the Italian's.
