According to a recent survey, violence did exist in schools. Students showed their fear and parents and teachers also expressed their great concern about it. Experts hope the whole {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (social) pay more attention to the mental health of adolescents(青少年).

    Nowadays, school violence is a hot issue. I think this is a phenomenon, {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  calls for our great concern. We should try every effort {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (prevent) violence happening at school for more and more students would drop out of school {#blank#}4{#/blank#} their personal safety could not {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (guarantee). In fact, violence can be learned. Children learn violent behavior from adults or from {#blank#}6{#/blank#} they see on television or on {#blank#}7{#/blank#} Internet.

    If I meet with school violence, I will not answer violence {#blank#}8{#/blank#} violence, for it will result in {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (much) fighting. I will tell my teachers or parents about it. I think they will help me deal with it well and they will protect me from the bad guys.

    All in all, every student should behave {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (he) and keep away from violence.

    Traditional Chinese medicine originated in ancient and developed for {#blank#}1{#/blank#}long time. It has collected various ways to treat{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (differ) diseases.     A free program {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (help) Milwaukee Public High School students realize their theater dreams at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.

    "My mom put me in acting classes {#blank#}2{#/blank#} I was seven because I was {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (extreme) shy," says 17-year-old Beatrice Low.

    "And I just {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (take) to it like a duck to water, I guess."

    Today, she's having the chance {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (work) one-on-one with a professional, touring actress through program at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.

    "I can't describe it, it's amazing, I love it," Low says.

    It {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (call) "Arts Connect" and pairs a class of young actors with theater professionals for a weeklong workshop.

    During one session, Beatrice works with actress Teri Hansen. She was in Milwaukee for the Marcus Center's recent touring {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (produce) of "An American in Paris."

    "It's the favorite thing that I do, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (work) with aspiring artists," Hansen says.

    Together they work {#blank#}9{#/blank#} a song from the Andrew Loyd Weber musical "Tell Me on a Sunday," with an audience of Beatrice's young peers. No pressure.

    The Marcus Center makes the Arts Connect program free for students from three Milwaukee public high schools. It's has been {#blank#}10{#/blank#} invaluable—even life-changing—experience, Beatrice says.

    Elias was born in the 20th century when the black people were put in to a miserable position {#blank#}1{#/blank#}they had no rights at all. Elias, like most black people in South Africa, had little {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(educate)and was worried {#blank#}3{#/blank#} whether he would become out of work. This was the very reason {#blank#}4{#/blank#} he met Mandela. Mandela always encouraged him not to lose heart.

    At that time, black people had no rights of {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (vote). They couldn't get jobs they wanted. The parts of town in which they had to live were decided by white people. They were sent to the poor areas {#blank#}6{#/blank#}no one could grow food.

    Nelson Mandela organized the ANC Youth League to fight against the {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(govern). They first broke the law in a {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (peace) way.

    When it was not allowed, they decided to answer violence with violence. So Elias joined the ANC Youth League, helping Nelson Mandela blow up some government {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (build). Elias {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (strong) believed what he did would help them achieve their dream of making black and white people equal.

    As Alison Gopnik described in her recent book, there are two kinds of parents in modern America: The Carpenter and the Gardener. The "carpenter" thinks that his or her child can{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(shape). "The idea is that if you just do the right things, get the right skills and read the right books, you're going to be able to turn your child {#blank#}2{#/blank#}a particular kind of adult，" she said

    The "gardener", however  is seldom concerned about {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (control) what the child will become and instead provides a protected space {#blank#}4{#/blank#}explore). The style is all about:" creating a rich, nutritious but also variable, diverse, active ecosystem".

    Gopnik, a psychology and philosophy professor at the University of California, Berkeley, said." Many parents are carpenters, and {#blank#}5{#/blank#}is really necessary for them to bring up their children." She spent decades researching children's development and finally {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(find) that parents often focused too much on what their children would be as adults. The harm is that parents and their children may become{#blank#}7{#/blank#} (anxiety), tense or unhappy.

    "We're so concerned about our children {#blank#}8{#/blank#} we think have difficulty mastering their own future that we're unwilling to allow them to {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (free) explore the world." she says. The truth is that the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (little) that parents worry about outcomes, the better their children may live in life.

    Chinese Kung Fu is an important part of traditional Chinese culture. It is probably one of the {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(early) and longest lasting sports in the world, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} uses both strength and brain. Over its long history, Kung Fu {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(develop) as a unique combination of exercise, self-protection and art. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} dates back to ancient times when people used tools {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (fight) against wild animals and gradually got experience in self-protection.

It {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(say) that Kung Fu not only exercises your physical body but also trains your spirit and your mind.
