The other day, my friends and I talked about the rules we have in school. At our school, we have to wear uniforms every day.

    The {#blank#}1{#/blank#} is that all my classmates think the uniforms are {#blank#}2{#/blank#} .We think young people should look smart and we would like to wear our own clothes. Our {#blank#}3{#/blank#} believe that if we did that, we would concentrate more on our clothes than our studies. We disagree. We would{#blank#}4{#/blank#} more comfortable and that is good for studying. If we can't do that, we should be allowed to design our own uniforms. That would be a good way to keep {#blank#}5{#/blank#}teachers and students happy.
    It's also probably a good idea for parents to {#blank#}6{#/blank#}  teenagers to study in groups during the evening. I know we get noisy sometimes, but we learn a lot {#blank#}7{#/blank#} each other. We also think that vacations should be {#blank#}8{#/blank#} .At present they're too short. Longer vacations would give us time to do things like volunteering. Last summer I{#blank#}9{#/blank#} an opportunity to volunteer at the local hospital, but I couldn't {#blank#}10{#/blank#} I had to go back to school. It would be a good experience for me because I want to be a doctor when I'm older.

    When I looked through my old photos last Sunday, one photo {#blank#}1{#/blank#} my eyes. In the photo, I was sitting in a chair, hugging Duke, my best friend in the whole world.

    Duke was an interesting name for such a little dog. But he was my friend from the moment I could walk. He stayed with me when I read books. When I went outside playing games, he always drove our cats up to the trees and then walked off feeling proud of himself. When he was hungry he would carry his food dish in his mouth and {#blank#}2{#/blank#} it at my mom's feet. When I was sick, he refused {#blank#}3{#/blank#} my bed until I got better than before.

    Now Duke is gone, I won't see him again. But I {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a lot from Duke, life can be good when you live it with love and joy. In my heart, Duke is like a teacher who has taught me how we can love and how we can {#blank#}5{#/blank#}.

    Mickey Mouse is possibly the most famous Walt Disney character (人物) of all the time. Someone once said he was more{#blank#}1{#/blank#}than the President of the U. S. A. Even two-year-old children know him when they see his huge ears.

     Mickey Mouse has changed in 132 films since 1928. Unlike the funny Goofy, or the{#blank#}2{#/blank#}Donald Duck, he usually plays an average guy.

     Mickey Mouse has changed over the years. Nowadays, he is fatter, his ears{#blank#}3{#/blank#}together, he has white patches (斑) around his eyes and he wears different kinds of{#blank#}4{#/blank#}in different films.

     Nowadays we can see the shy, charming{#blank#}5{#/blank#}happy Mickey Mouse everywhere: on T-shirts and mugs, on bed sheets and pencil cases.
