Young people and older people sometimes have different {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(看法) on work and life. But last month in one special program in New York State, teenagers and adults lived together and. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(影响) each other in a friendly way.

    Each summer 200 teenagers and adults live and work together for eight weeks as a group. Everyone works several hours each day.  Lots of vegetables and fruit,{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(种植) on the farms, {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(包括) carrots, tomatoes and apples. Teenagers learn to {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(修理) things like tables and chairs with the help of the adults.

    When people live together, rules are {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(必要的). In this program the teenagers and the adults make the rules together and follow the rules together. Also, they make a {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(协议) to decide everything together. If they have a problem in living or working, they will discuss it and work it out. Sometimes, adults are {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(明智的) than teenagers in solving problems, but teenagers have quicker mind.

    One of the teenagers says about his experience, "we stop thinking only about {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(我们自己). We learn to think about the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (整个的) group."

    Every year, November 21 is World Hello Day. On this day, all you have to do is to say hello and give a good day greeting(问候) to at least ten people you meet! Of course this can be family and f{#blank#}1{#/blank#}, but be brave to strangers(陌生人). It started on November 21, 1973. The meaning(含义) behind it is : Say hello and stop war(战争).

    S{#blank#}2{#/blank#}hello to someone can make a lot of difference(不同). For example, a small thing l{#blank#}3{#/blank#}a greeting can mean a lot to shy(含羞 ) people. Because they find it hard to t{#blank#}4{#/blank#} with people. A hello to a stranger is also a small thing, but through it we can make the w {#blank#}5{#/blank#} a better place.

    In China, people u{#blank#}6{#/blank#} say "Ni Hao." when they meet each other. How do people say hello to each other in English-speaking countries? You may have some i{#blank#}7{#/blank#} in your mind(头脑).   People usually say, "H are you?" You can answer, "I'm fine," "Very good, thank you," or "Not bad, thanks." You can also ask "And you?"

    In the UK, b{#blank#}8{#/blank#} good friends, they say, "You all right?" "I'm good. Any plans (计划) for the weekend?" People also say "How's it going? " B{#blank#}9{#/blank#} it's not a question. It just means hello. People often answer, "Good," or "Not bad." Another popular greeting is "Hey, boy." But it is usually among boys. Girls may say "Hey, g{#blank#}10{#/blank#}."

    In the world, people use at least 2,796 languages to say hello to each other.
