My parents used to tell me how important school was for me, but I didn't think so. I paid little attention to it.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    One day, when I walked past a mobile phone store, I saw an advertisement on its door. It was hiring(雇佣) new workers! I went into the shop to ask for the job. The manager looked at me for a few seconds from head to foot, then asked," Do you have a high school diploma(文凭)?"He continued,"{#blank#}2{#/blank#}”

    I felt so ashamed(感到难为情的) and uncomfortable that I didn't know what to say, so I just turned around and left. I could not fall asleep that night.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}I must go to school or I can't do anything without a good education, "I said to myself silently. I never went back to the store again until I finished my study and got a diploma.

    Everything looked the same when I returned to the store. However, compared with last time{#blank#}4{#/blank#}I showed my diploma to the manager. He looked at it and said," Great, you are in.'

    Now I am still working in the same store. With this experience, I always advise people to attend school.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}Now I am not worried about my future because I'm still reading and learning books about my work in my free time

    I'm Andy. I study at a school in Beijing. There are lots of rules(条例) in my school. We have to wear school uniforms every day, and we can't wear rings. We can't arrive late for school. We can't talk in class. After class, we can't run in the hallways. I can follow most of them, but I can't follow some.

    My cousin Mike is in a school in the USA. In his school, students can't bring alcohol(酒) to school Students can't smoke. Students can't colour their hair, and boys can't have long hair. It's easy for Mike to follow them.

    My e-friend Julie studies in a school in Canada. In her school, students can't eat in the classroom. They can't listen to music in class. Julie thinks she can obey these rules.

    We don't like some of the rules, but most of the rules can help us and we have to follow the rules.

    I started playing the piano when I was about eight or nine. But when I got to university, I stopped playing it. I just didn't have enough time and there were so many other things to do.

Car pool(拼车)

    "Beep, beep," goes the car horn(喇叭).You've got dressed，but you've not had time to eat breakfast. You run out of the front door with your schoolbag, and jump into the waiting car. Inside, your Friends say "hey" as one of their parents drives you to school. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} 

    Car pools are a common way of transportation for many students in the US. You, along with many of your friends, can sit in one car.{#blank#}2{#/blank#} And your parents may take turns to drive you all to school {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  If you're late, you can eat that breakfast you don't have time for at home. If you're behind on your homework. this is your last chance to finish it before class. Some simply add to their sleep time before classes begin.

    Besides walking or cycling to class, car pools are green if you can't take the school bus. Instead of four cars taking four students to school each day, they can all squeeze (挤) into one. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} 

More importantly, car pooling teaches students valuable life lessons not taught in class. It can teach students about being on time. It can also teach them the bad influence of being late. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} 

I am very busy on school days but I have some free time on weekends. I like to spend time with my grandparents on Sundays. My grandma is an old woman with long straight hair and wears {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. She often {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the food I like. And I enjoy {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Chinese chess with my grandpa. He is very good at it! We also like to sit and talk with them. We sometimes watch the cat climb {#blank#}4{#/blank#} . It's {#blank#}5{#/blank#} to spend weekends like this. I love my grandparents.
