    I went backpacking through Italy many {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (summer) ago. There I had the opportunity to taste some of the best cherries in my life. I remember {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (ask) the fruit farmer, “ {#blank#}3{#/blank#}are these cherries from?” And she said they were from an orchard (果园) only twelve miles away. So I {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(jump) in my car and hit the road. At the orchard, and old man named Leopoldo, whose face was  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(beautiful) lined, told the beautiful story of a beautiful life well lived. He offered me all kinds  {#blank#}6{#/blank#}cherries from the orchard and they were {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (amaze). And that's when I realized something: the world is inspiring. The fruit is inspiring, if you let {#blank#}8{#/blank#} be. As the sun began to set, I said goodbye to Leopoldo {#blank#}9{#/blank#}his lovely family. My mind {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(fill) with berries then, and I was thinking about being a fruit farmer on my way home.

    Barbara Jordan was a lawyer, educator and member of Congress. As a politician, Barbara Jordan worked for social change. She {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (seek) to make a difference for all Americans using her {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (politics) influence.

    Barbara Jordan became the first African-American woman {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (elect) to the United States Congress to represent Texas. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} helped Barbara gain her national {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (recognize) was that she became a member of the congressional committee investigating President Richard Nixon in 1974.

    Barbara Jordan was born in the southern city of Houston, Texas in 1936. She was {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (young) of the three daughters in her family. Her father was a Baptist minister. When she was a child, Barbara's parents pushed her to succeed. Barbara Jordan said her parents would criticize her for not {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (speak) correct English. They urged her to become a music teacher, because they said that was the only good job for a black woman at that time. Her sisters did become {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (teacher). Barbara Jordan, however, explained later that she wanted to do something unusual.

    At first she thought about being a pharmacist, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} scientist who is an expert in medicines. After she became the first African-American state senator(参议员), her career in politics took {#blank#}10{#/blank#}.

Many cities have live music in their parks during the summer. But there's a park in Denmark

{#blank#}1{#/blank#} people can hear music all year round — not on a stage but among the trees.

As part of {#blank#}2{#/blank#}art project for public in Aalborg, trees in the Park of Music host the music once  {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(perform) by musicians at the nearby cultural center. It all started in the 1980s when the city asked visiting musicians to plant a tree {#blank#}4{#/blank#}a memorial (纪念物) of their excellent and {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(forget) performances.

Since then, over 80 trees {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(plant) by musicians worldwide. In 2012, some of the trees became playable! It works like this. {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (simple) press the button (按钮）on the plaque (匾牌)bearing a musician's name next to the tree, and people  {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(hear)a piece of the musician's music.

All kinds of music from  {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(artist) like Sting can be heard. The trees are "played" about 300,000 times a year, {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(show) the popularity of the art project.
