Every year we get a new start. On New Year's Day we always write down our {#blank#}1{#/blank#}and put them up on the wall of our bedrooms.
This year my dream is to learn an instrument. And I still want to take more exercise to keep{#blank#}2{#/blank#} , too. You know, last year I spent much time {#blank#}3{#/blank#} swimming. So this year I want to do something exciting and unusual. I'm {#blank#}4{#/blank#} to learn the violin. So I'm thinking about taking violin lessons. And I'm going to practice much {#blank#}5{#/blank#} than usual. It says that practice makes perfect! What is your plan?

    Some of you might ask,“Are books {#blank#}1{#/blank#} interesting?” Believe it or not, books provide many {#blank#}2{#/blank#} that televisions or computers cannot. Since books use only words to tell a story, they can improve your imagination. The interesting words and sentences that are used in storytelling usually can't be {#blank#}3{#/blank#} on TV or on websites. They are sometimes so {#blank#}4{#/blank#} and moving that they can bring tears to your eyes. Books also help us to think {#blank#}5{#/blank#} and deeper. As we continue to read, we ask ourselves questions and try to find answers.

    Remember: the more you read, the more you grow.

    Li Wen is a 16-year-old boy. He works hard and {#blank#}1{#/blank#} well in school. It is hard to believe that he had much {#blank#}2{#/blank#} in school. His parents moved to the city to look for jobs, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} they couldn't be at home to look {#blank#}4{#/blank#} him. He realized that his parents would always love him and they would be {#blank#}9{#/blank#} of everything good that he did. Now he is much {#blank#}10{#/blank#} and more outgoing than he used to be.

B: I like Friday {#blank#}1{#/blank#} I have music and math on that day. They're my favorite {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

A: Who is your music teacher?

B: Ms. Xu. She always {#blank#}3{#/blank#} her classes fun.

A: That's great! But why do you like math? It's very difficult.

A: It's P.E. I think it's fun.
