The famous composer, Albert Roussel, didn't have a good start in this career. However, he achieved a great deal of success as a result of a 1.

    Roussel's parents died when he was eight and he went to live with his 2. As a little boy, he fell in love with music and 3himself about it by reading through the family collection that his mother kept,  4 which there were a lot of related books. Three years later, Roussel's grandfather died, and his mother's sister decided to5 him. Her husband was a kind man and6for young Roussel's music lessons.     Not long, 16, at the age of 25, Roussel decided to 17Edouard Colonne's advice. He gave his heart and soul to his composing and 18 a major force in twentieth century French music. Because of Eduoard Colonne's inspiring 19, Roussel devoted his life to music, but Rousssel's 20friend later admitted that he had made it up. He said he had never even shown Roussel's manuscript to the famous conductor.

    One day, I drove into a service station to get some gas. It was a beautiful day and I was feeling1. As I paid for the gas, the attendant said, “How do you feel?” that seemed like a2question, but I felt fine and told him so. “You don't look 3.” he replied and continued to tell me my skin appeared 4.

    Chinese volunteers have completed a one-year test living in a simulated（模拟的）space lab in Beijing. The total length of the test, which started on May 10th last year, 1 370 days, thus setting a new record for the 2 stay in a simulated space lab.

    The space lab, called the Yuegong-1, or Lunar Palace 1, measures around 150 square meters. It 3 four sleeping rooms, a bathroom, a waste-treatment room and a room for raising animals. The Yuegong-1 provides everything humans need to survive in an environment 4 to that of a space station in outer space. Oxygen, water and food are 5 within it.

    A total of eight 6, all of whom are students at Beihang University, took turns 7 in the space lab. They were divided into 8 groups. On May 10, 2017, two men and two women 9 the Yuegong-1 for an initial （最初的）stay of 60 days. On July 9, they were 10 by another group of four, who stayed 200 days. The second group of students 11 on January 26, 2018, and the initial group12 and spent 110 days inside it.

    13, the volunteers were expected to stay in the Yuegong-1 for 365 days. But the project ended up 14370 days —from May 10 last year until May 15. The 15 five days were designed as a way to simulate a（n）16, in which the spaceship might experience a 17 in returning to earth.

    The goal of the project “Yuegong 365” is to 18 the limits of humans' ability to live in a 19 ecosystem for China's manned moon landing ambition. The success of the project means that China goes one step closer to putting 20 on the moon.

Spreading kindness, one good deed at a time, is Karla Gibson's mission. "I wish everyone could join me. There are so many 1things going on in the world; I mean every day," said Karla.

    Karla had the commitment and sense of2in December of 2013. The single mother of three said she tended to feel depressed around the holidays, so she 3to do something to cheer others up. She sat at the end of the drive-through holding a11that read. "Have a great day." She ended up12about 23 customers. "It was really fun. I was13one of the best birthdays ever," she said. Her kindness that day didn't go 14One couple were so grateful that they surprised her with flowers and balloons to show their15.

    Karla's acts of kindness have become a16affair. Her two sons are always17others. "Sometimes I'll ask Kyle, 'So, did you do anything extra nice today? and his answers are like 'Somebody18something in the hallway and I picked it up or 'I held the door for someone', that kind of thing," said Karla.
