Today I'm going to talk about rainforests. Are you  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}    with them? They're interesting and exciting places! Many kinds of the world's plants and animals live in the rainforests.

However, rainforests are{#blank#}2{#/blank#} now—they are disappearing very fast because they are cut down or burnt every day. As a result, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} animals and plants are dying out.

 Maybe you have never been to a rainforest, so why should you protect them  {#blank#}4{#/blank#}  ?  Rainforests are important to everyone. They are important because the plants in the rainforests make oxygen . We need oxygen to breathe.

On a cold winter day, a fox {#blank#}1{#/blank#} mother bear that he would teach her how to fish. As she{#blank#}2{#/blank#} to learn, he took her to a hole in the ice, and told her to put her tail down in the water. He told her to keep the tail there for{#blank#}3{#/blank#} . Then{#blank#}4{#/blank#} she pulled the tail out of the water, she would find fish around the tail. The bear was foolish enough to believe{#blank#}5{#/blank#} the fox said. She sat for a long time with her tail in the water. She was {#blank#}6{#/blank#} the fish. But when she{#blank#}7{#/blank#} to pull her tail lout of the water, she found that it was frozen in the ice. She asked the fox to pull her out. But he laughed to himself and {#blank#}8{#/blank#} . so she called father bear to help her. Father bear came. He pulled hard and {#blank#}9{#/blank#} got her out, but a part of her tail was in the ice. That is{#blank#}10{#/blank#} people find the bear's tail so short.

    This term I join a sports club. Simon is also in that club. Mr. Green is {#blank#}1{#/blank#}teacher in the club. He is really strict with us. He makes lots of {#blank#}2{#/blank#} to help us. Every student in the club must {#blank#}3{#/blank#} them. We must call him {#blank#}4{#/blank#} before playing basketball in the club. Then we must get there on time. We have to keep listening to him quietly. We have to {#blank#}5{#/blank#} sports clothes and shoes. We have to practice playing basketball for an hour every day.

    Do you often throw away things you don't need anymore? Have you ever thought about how these things can actually be put to good use? Nothing is a waste if you have a {#blank#}1{#/blank#} mind.

    You have probably never heard of Amy Hayes, but she is a most {#blank#}2{#/blank#} woman. She lives in a house in the UK that she built herself out of rubbish. The windows and doors come from old buildings around her town that were pulled down. The top of the house is an old boat {#blank#}3{#/blank#} upside down. And the gate in front of her house is made of rocks and old glass bottles. Amy recently won a prize {#blank#}4{#/blank#} the Help Save Our Planet {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. The president said, "Amy is an inspiration to us all."

    Amy isn't the only one who is good at {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. Jessica Wong from Hong Kong uses old clothes that people don't wear anymore to make bags. She has been {#blank#}7{#/blank#} this for a few years now. She opened a small shop where she sells her bags, and she has {#blank#}8{#/blank#} set up a website to sell them online. She {#blank#}9{#/blank#} likes to use old jeans to make handbags. Her bags are cute and {#blank#}10{#/blank#}. "I plan to write a book about new ways to use old clothes," she said. "I hope people can read my book and enjoy it!"
