Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday. The day after it has been known as Black Friday. It is the start of the holiday shopping season，and it has been the busiest shopping day of the year in the US since 2005.Most stores offer big sales on Black Friday. They open their doors quite early in the morning. They try to attract shoppers with big discounts. Some items(商品)like TVs and clothes are much cheaper than usual. Stores may even lose money on these items. They hope that shoppers will buy gifts for other people while they are in the store. Black Friday is a great time to go shopping. However，there are problems. The biggest one is that there are not enough low—priced items. Each store may only have a few. So people stand in long lines to get them. They may wait three to four hours before a store opens.

    Last summer I went to Qingdao. Qingdao is in the east of China. I went there with my mother and my grandma. The weather there was very hot. I swam in the sea every day. We ate lots of fish. We had a lovely time there.

    The world is changing very fast. In the past，my grandparents lived in a small house. It was very old. They didn't have enough food or clothes. There was a small tree beside the house. There weren't any televisions or telephones. Now they live in a big and beautiful house. They've got lots of food and clothes. They watch TV every day. They can use the computer，too. They are very happy now.

    A young mother and her little girl got on a bus and sat down. The bus conductor(售票员) came to ask them to buy tickets. "I want one ticket to Children's Park," said the mother. The conductor looked at the little girl and said to her, "How old are you?" The girl answered, "Mother says I am six years old at home, but I'm four years old on the bus." The young mother's face turned red, very red. Then she bought a half-price ticket.

   I'm Mike. I like flowers. So I grow some flowers. They are red, yellow, pink and purple. They are beautiful. And they smell good. I water them once a day. I give them a little water. They grow and grow quickly. They are strong. I am very happy. I often listen to music in my garden. My sister and brother like tomatoes. So they grow some tomatoes. They don't give them water or light. They give the plants a little water once a week. They are lazy. So they grow slowly. They will die.

It is 4:30 in the afternoon. After class, some children are in the playground. Look! Lily and Jenny are talking under the tree. Sam, Bob and Amy are playing a game. Frank and Jill want to join them. Sam says, "OK. Please take turns." Look at the girl near the garden. She is Kate. She is reading a book quietly.
