    Mr Smith lived in a city．There were too many cars and there were not enough roads．Buses were the only kind of public transport．There were traffic jams(交通堵塞)all the time．Most people hated driving．One day,Mr Smith was going to an important meeting．He got on a very crowded(拥挤的)bus．There were lots of cars on the road so the bus was moving very slowly．Mr Smith was worried he might be late．

    "Can you go any faster?" he asked the bus driver．

    "Yes，I can，but my bus can't．"the bus driver said．

    Today is Sunday . It's cool and dry . Some children are in the park . Some girls are sitting under a big tree . They are singing . Kitty and Eddie are flying kites . They are happy on the grass , the boys are playing football . John is watching them . There is a pond in the park . Some ducks are in the pond . Betty is drawing the ducks . She likes drawing .

Lucy: Is this your mother?

Tim: Yes, it is.She is a nurse.

Lucy: What's your father's job?

Tim: He is a driver.

She's a lovely girl. Mr. White and his wife are sitting under a big tree. They are talking and laughing. They are very happy.
