Laughter is natural for people. We start to laugh at about four months of age. We start to laugh even1 we start to speak.

Greenland is the largest island in the world. It's in the northeast of North America. Near Greenland is another island. It's small. Its name is Iceland. Do you think that Greenland is green and warm? Do you think that Iceland is white with ice? If you do, you're wrong. That is because most of Greenland is covered with lots of ice. The ice is higher than the world's tallest building. There are more people in your hometown than those in Greenland. What about Iceland? Iceland has ice, but not so much ice as Greenland. Iceland has lots of hot spring (温泉). They give out hot water and steam. The climate (气候) is less cold than that in Greenland. And there are a lot more people living in Iceland. 

Do you know about Sally? She's good-looking and well-spoken, but also is obedient(听话的). That's to say, she'll do anything that you ask her to do. Sally is a personal assistant robot. Bill Moir. a university teacher and computer engineer, spent more than a year finishing this robot. And now Sally can do many things, such as turning on the radio, and even playing and working on computers.

In other parts of the world, there are similar robots,but Bill's is to help disabled (残疾的) people around the home.

About one month ago, Bill said, "I'll make a special house. When you come in, Sally will be there on the big screen for you. You can ask her to read your e-mails, tell you the news and how the weather is. You can also askher to help you buy something you need.She'll be able to do many other things if you like."

Although Sally is a robot, it seems that she could do a better job than a human helper.

Bill's working on a new project (项目) now. He wants to improve Sally so that she can do more and better work for people.

Drones（无人机）are like planes, but come in many shapes and sizes. They have no pilots and are controlled from outside the drones. During these years, they have been used to attack（进攻）enemies or moved goods（货品）in dangerous areas. 

Now small drones are part of people's lives. For example, people use drones to take photos or make videos. Besides, a drone delivery（n.投递）service has proved（证明）successful. 

Online store JD can use drones to deliver small packages（包裹）. It has built several drone stations so that it can load（装载）and deliver（v. 投递）its packages. 

Drones have made our shopping experience different. We can order a new coat in the early morning and it will be delivered before we finish breakfast. 

Bizzby Sky, a UK company, has created a delivery service for small goods. Open a smart phone app, enter your address, set a time and pay enough money for the delivery service. Then in minutes, a drone will do tasks for you. 

However, any drone company needs government permission（允许）to fly its drones in many countries. We believe we will see more and more drones with goods fly in the sky very soon.
