When I was little, Friday's night was our family game night. After supper, we would play card games of all sorts in the sitting room. As the kid, I loved to watch the cartoons, but no matter how many times I asked to watch them, my parents would not to let me. They would say to me that playing card games would help my brain. Still I unwilling to play the games with them sometimes. I don't realize how right my parents were until I entered high school. Of all the subject, I like Chinese best because I have excellent Chinese teacher, Ms Sun. She has been taught us for only three months, but she is thinking highly of by all the students.

The other day my family spend a happy seaside holiday.

Early in the morning, my father drove my mother, my brothers and me to the seaside. On arrive there we rushed to the sea immediately and swam happy. Hello, everyone! I would like to share with you my first travel abroad. Last summer vacation, I, together with several classmates, took part an exchange program with the American school. During our visit, I stayed in host families, that gave us an opportunity to learn about American society. The main part of our program was to experience of the school life. Comparing with Chinese students, American students are more open and active. Besides, they have less homeworks and fewer exams. So we also have a lot in common, like being crazy about NBA. When the visit was over, I make friends with some American students, who became very interested in Chinese culture. The American students also benefited many from the program.

What qualities do you think heroes should have? To me, heroes are brave and helpful. They're people you respect of. My heroes are the volunteers who go to the earthquake-hit areas last week. The disaster caused great damages to the areas. Therefore, the volunteers' efforts relieved the victims' suffering. They helped the victims by giving themselves food, water and shelter. They were also many doctors and nurses who volunteered help the wounded. The rescue work turned out dangerously, but no one showed fear nor gave up rescue the unfortunate people. I think nothing is equal to which the brave people did in the earthquake.
