Do you go to school every day by bike or in your parents' car? The American English teacher Margaret told her story about taking a school bus in America:

When I was a primary school student, I loved taking the school bus. It was interesting to talk to my friends and play games on the bus. It was like children-only party every morning and afternoon. On the school bus there was only one adult(成年人)—the driver. Most of the time, we were well-behaved because we liked the driver and didn't want to make him unhappy. But one day, one of the boys made a face (做鬼脸) at a policeman(警察) driving behind our bus. The policeman made our bus drive stop. Then he scolded(训斥) the naughty boy loudly. We were all very good after that!

    It wasn't comfortable for young people to wait for the school bus in winter because it was very cold, especially when there were strong winds. Some students in cities had bus shelters(遮挡), but country children had to jump up and down to warm up. Hurry up, spring!

  Your schooldays should be some of the best and happiest days of your life. You shouldn't waste this wonderful opportunity to learn. Here is our advice for you to have a happy school life.

  Advice 1:{#blank#}1{#/blank#}. Don't say things are difficult or boring. Be interested in school life and your school subjects. Join lots of activities. Be quick to put your hand up.

  Advice 2:{#blank#}2{#/blank#}.School is not a holiday camp. If you are not working, you are not learning, and you are wasting your time at school. Teachers can not make everything enjoyable.

  Advice 3:{#blank#}3{#/blank#}. Do today's work today. Do not say you will do things tomorrow. If you get behind the class, it is very difficult to get back in front. You can not finish a race if you rest all the time.

 Advice 4: {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. Sometimes they are only the result of misunderstanding . Don't be too embarrassed to ask for help. You are young. No one thinks you can do everything!

Advice 5:{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. Don't waste life lying in bed on Saturday morning. Go and play a sport, learn the piano, work on a project, read a book, practice English, or help someone with problems. There are always a lot of things to do.

    Frederic Chopin(弗兰德里克.肖邦) was born in March, 1810, near Warsaw in Poland(波兰). He was one of the greatest musicians in the world. In 1831, he went to Paris. No people but he could play the piano very well.

    At that time people in Paris liked the Hungarian(匈牙利的) pianist Franz Liszt(弗朗兹.李斯特).One night, at a concert, Liszt went to the piano and the people shouted. As all the lights in the concert were turned off, a wonderful piano concert started. The music was so good that the listeners were all greatly interested. They kept praising the pianist and thought that Liszt had reached something new in playing the piano. Suddenly, all the lights were turned on again as the music came to an end. And there stood a young man instead of the famous Hungarian pianist Franz Liszt.

    Liszt had planned all this. As the lights went out, Liszt left his chair and let Chopin take his place. So with the help of Liszt and his own talent(天赋), Chopin soon became famous.

    An old gentleman whose eyesight (视力) was falling came to stay in a hotel room with a bottle of wine (酒) in each hand. On the wall there was a fly which he took for a nail (钉子). So as soon as he hung them on, the bottles fell broken and the wine split all over the floor.

    When a waitress discovered what had happened, she felt really sorry for him and wanted to give him a hand.

    So the next morning when he was out taking a walk in the garden, she put a nail on the wall exactly where the fly had stayed.

    Now the old man entered his room. The smell of the split wine reminded him of the accident. When he looked up at the wall, he found the fly was there again! He walked to it carefully and hit it with all his strength.

    On hearing a loud cry, the waitress rushed in. To her great surprise, the poor man was there sitting on the floor, his face was pale and a lot of blood was running on his right hand.

    In many children's stories, a girl meets a prince and falls in love. They get married and live 'happily ever after'.

    As a child, Meghan Markle may never have imagined marrying a prince. But that is exactly what happened on May 19^th!

    Meghan Markle was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1981. Her mother, Doria, was a doctor, and her father, Tom, was a television lighting director. For 10 years after school each day, young Meghan spent time at the studio where her father worked. This experience allowed her to become very comfortable with the acting business. For that reason, she knew she wanted to become an actress from a very early age.

    As a child, she felt strongly about something else, too: People should be treated equally. This passion(热情)to help others is still a big part of her life today.

    Her acting career began in 2002 when she made her first appearance on TV. Other small parts on TV and in a few films followed. Then finally in 2011, Markle got her big break. She won a lead role in the popular TV series Suits.

    Helen has always been interested in helping her community (社区). Her first volunteer experience was for the American Red Cross when she was in high school. When she was a school teacher, she also found time to volunteer.

    After she retired (退休), she started volunteering to help the old. When her father was older, he was not able to see as well as he used to, which made her sad because he had always enjoyed reading. She decided it would be fun to read to elderly people in her community.

    She also helped one woman write her stories. Ann was almost 100 years old, and Helen wrote down information about her life when she visited her. She put the information in a book and got it published (出版), Ann was very excited to share her life story with her children and grandchildren.

    After a strong storm hit some southern cities, Helen volunteered again for the American Red Cross. She prepared food and answered phones in a care centre.

    One day Helen read an article in the newspaper about refugees (难民) who needed to learn English. She met once a week with Sahra, a 38-year-old woman from Somalia. Helen gave Sahra a camera and asked her to take pictures of her daily life. In the end, they wrote a book together and used the photos in the book. This helped Sahra learn many new words about her everyday life.

    Helen says, "The real value of my volunteer work is becoming friends with the people I help. They enrich my life as well as I enrich theirs."
