A Football Player

    Most people make their living with their hands. But Tom makes his living with his feet. A very good living it is, too.

and Tom lives in a very small city in England. His parents are very poor. Seven people live in their small house. Tom has no place to play but in the street. Tom's father often plays football. Little Tom wants to play football, too. So his father makes a soft ball for him to kick. It is a sock filled with pieces of cloth. The little boy kicks it every day. At last Tom learns to kick a real football, and after few years he can play football very well. Now Tom is one of the best football players in the world.

    Mrs. Lee and Ms. Wang are friends. Mrs. Lee has a son. He's John. He's five. He hasten toys. Mrs. Wang has two children. They are Lily and Tony. Lily is fifteen. Tony is two. Lily has nineteen books. Tony has three robots.

    Look, this is my school. It's very big. This is my classroom. It's new and beautiful. That is the teacher's office（办公室）. It's old. But it's tall.

    Lin Tao is a boy. He is eleven years old. He gets up early every morning. He gets up at 6: 00, and then he washes his face. He does morning exercises at 6:50.

She is good at every subject but she never shows off. Alice is very cute. She's also kind to everyone and she's very friendly. She's always ready to help everyone. Allen is a very tall boy. He is a nice boy and his math is very good. He likes to play football and basketball. He plays basketball very well and he is on our school team. He often says, "Playing basketball is good for our health." I enjoy playing with him because I can learn a lot from him.
