There was a very rich man, but he didn't feel happy. So he asked a clever old man {#blank#}1{#/blank#} he could be happy.

    "That's very easy." the old man said, "You just put {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the shirt of a happy man and you will be happy."

The rich man thanked the old man and went to {#blank#}3{#/blank#} for a happy man. He visited many countries and met many {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. But they all said they were not {#blank#}5{#/blank#}.

One day, he saw a poor farmer working on a {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. The man was {#blank#}7{#/blank#}. He looked very happy. The rich man went up to {#blank#}8{#/blank#} and asked, "Are you happy?"

     "Yes, quite happy," answered the farmer.

     "Can you sell me your {#blank#}9{#/blank#}?" asked the rich man.

     "My shirt?" the farmer answered, " {#blank#}10{#/blank#} I haven't got a shirt."

    You may not know a lot of people when you start high school. This really makes you feel {#blank#}1{#/blank#} because you don't know who to talk to when you have problems.{#blank#}2{#/blank#} you know some freshmen(新生), you still feel worried that you don't know any elder students and teachers. How are you going to make friends with these unknown people? 

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#} most high schools hold a freshman training before school actually starts. These are helpful because you learn your way around the buildings. You also get to meet some of your teachers and other freshmen. That way, you may already recognize a few{#blank#}4{#/blank#} faces when you go to school on your first day.

    One million copies of the seven comic strips describing Mandela's life were published in South Africa. That was a part of events celebrating his birthday on July 18.

    South Africa's first black president Nelson Mandela became a comic strip hero at once. "This project aims at encouraging young people to read," his{#blank#}1{#/blank#}foundation (基金会) said.

    "We express the{#blank#}2{#/blank#}and the values of Mr Mandela through comics," added John Samuel, chief executive(决策者) of the Nelson Mandela Foundation, "Comics are a very useful way of bringing young people into reading.”

    "Comics,{#blank#}3{#/blank#}, are a very powerful way to introduce literature(文学)，various aspects of reading to young people. And this is our purpose here," he told a news conference.

    Some people{#blank#}4{#/blank#}that Mr Mandela should not be a comic figure. "It would take a lot more than comics to demean his stature (贬低他的声望)," said Samuel.
