This is Lucy and that is Lily. Lucy is 12 years old. Lily is 12 years old, too. Lucy looks like Lily and Lily looks like Lucy, too.

    They look the same. They are twins. But they have different hobbies. Lucy likes listening to music and drawing pictures. Lily likes dancing and playing basketball. They are American. They are new students in Jim's class .They are in Grade Six. Jim often looks after them. They are new friends. They go to a shop. They would like something to eat and drink. Lucy would like some bread.   Lily would like a bottle of orange. Jim would like some apples.  

A Lazy Boy

    Two friends are having a holiday. Their names are Frank and Henry. Henry is very lazy.

    On the first evening of their holiday, Frank says to Henry," Here's some money. Go and buy some meat. "

    "I'm too tired," answers Henry, "You go."

    So Frank goes to buy the meat. Later he comes back and says to Henry, "Now here's the meat. Please cook it."

    But Henry answers," No, I'm not good at cooking. You do it."

    So Frank cooks the meat. Then he says to Henry," Go and get some water."

    "No, I don't want to get my clothes dirty." Henry answers.

    At last, Frank says," The meat is ready. Come and eat it."

    "Yes, I'll do that," answers Henry, "I don't like saying 'No' all the time."

    I have a happy family. My father is an engineer. He likes watching football. My mother is a teacher. She teaches English at school. She likes designing clothes. Mary is my sister. She likes singing and dancing. I have a pet dog. He likes playing with balls.

    Santa Claus is an old man in red clothes and he wears a red hat. He has long white beard(胡子). He comes from the north on a reindeer(驯鹿) sleigh(雪橇) every Christmas Day. He went into people's houses and put presents into children's socks. So in Western countries, parents put presents into their children's socks on Christmas Eve. The next day, the first thing for children is to find the presents from Santa Claus.

    Jack is from San Francisco. He lives in China with his parents now. He likes China and Chinese food. From Monday to Friday he goes to school. He has no time to go home for lunch, so he has it at school. The lunch at school is very good. On the weekend, he can eat rice, noodles and meat at home with his parents. But sometimes they go out to have dinner with their friends. They eat fish, meat, vegetables, fruit and many other delicious things. Dumplings are Jack's favourite food. He thinks they are very nice.

    Li Shan and her classmates had a welcome party for the new students. They showed many programs (节目). At the beginning, Zhang Han sang a song named My heart will go On. And she got a lot of applause (掌声). Han Lei danced without music. He was very funny. He made everyone laugh and laugh. Li Qiang did Chinese Kung fu. He was the best actor. Their teacher, Miss Hu was very happy. She said all the students were very cute and talented. All of the students had a good time that day.
