Hello! Welcome to my home. I have two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a study and a bathroom. In my bedroom, there is a small bed. In the living room, there is a chair, a desk and a TV. In the study, there are two shelves and a desk. I read books in the study. I like my home.

    Big Ben is not the name of a man. It's the name of a big clock in London. This clock has four faces. So, no matter(无论)where you stand, you can read the time on the face of Big Ben. Each face is the size of a bus. The hands are about four metres long. If you go to London, you may want to visit the Houses of Parliament(英国国会大厦). In that place you will find Big Ben sits at the top of the clock tower in the Houses of Parliament. You will probably hear it and see it. The big clock makes such a loud noise. It goes every quarter of an hour. Big Ben has been the most famous symbol(标志)of  London

    There is an old farmer, with a horse which is almost as old as himself.

    He leaves home one morning with his son to sell the horse before it died. Father and son walk, because the farmer does not want the horse to be too tired.

    They meet two men on the road who say, “Why are you walking, farmer? You have a horse, It's a long way to market(市场). ”The farmer knows that it is true, so he rides on the horse, while his son walks.

    Then they meet two old women, “What are you doing, farmer? Can't you see how tired your boy is?" so the farmer gets down, and his son rides it.

    Next, three old men stop them, one says, “Why are you walking, farmer? Get up, it's too hot for an old man like you to walk today." So the farmer tides up behind his son, and they ride on.

    Some time later, a young woman passes them, “Why aren't you walking?” she asks, “It isn't far to the market. Give your poor horse a rest. ”

    So the farmer, and his son, get down once again. It is a fact that you cannot please all the people all the time.

Tony: Good morning, Sandy.

Sandy: Good morning, Tony.

Tony: What's your favourite food?

Sandy: Hamburgers.

Tony: Me too. Why do you like them?

Sandy: Because they're delicious.

Tony: What's your father's favourite food?

Sandy: He loves beef.

Tony: What about your mother?

Sandy: She loves salad.

Tony: What would you like to drink now?

Sandy: I'd like some orange juice.

Tony: Me too.

Jane: Good morning, Lily.

Lily: Good morning, Jane.

Jane: Today is my birthday. I will have a party for my tenth(第十的）birthday.

Lily: Great! I have a present for you.

Jane: Thank you! It's a beautiful card. I like it. Where is Fangfang?

Lily: She is doing homework at home.

Jane: Let's play with Fangfang! I like playing chess with you.
