Rick is a fat man. He gets up late（晚）{#blank#}1{#/blank#}the morning . He has a {#blank#}2{#/blank#}breakfast every morning. He has some meat, three{#blank#}3{#/blank#}four eggs and some pieces of bread(面包). He drinks two{#blank#}4{#/blank#}of milk, some apple juice, a cup of coffee and some fruit. His wife, Vicky,{#blank#}5{#/blank#}a cup of tea, a piece of bread and a banana for breakfast. Rick{#blank#}6{#/blank#}any ball games. He thinks they are too difficult for him, but he likes listening to the music and{#blank#}7{#/blank#}TV and he doesn't{#blank#}8{#/blank#}any housework(家务). Vicky{#blank#}9{#/blank#}sports every day. In fact, she is in a swimming club. So she is very{#blank#}10{#/blank#}.

    Hearing is very important to all of us. We can hear beautiful music, nice songs of birds, the laughter of people or other different  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(kind) of sounds in the world with our ears. Zhu Yanjun won the second place in the Chinese Poetry Competition for his excellent poetry skills.

Born in{#blank#}1{#/blank#} village in Jingning County, Gansu Province, Zhu only received primary and middle school education. His love for {#blank#}2{#/blank#}( read) poetry and books came from his Chinese teacher who has published many {#blank#}3{#/blank#}( article) in magazines."I also wanted to published stories, {#blank#}4{#/blank#}I started to read," he told China Daily.

Although Zhu left school so early, he didn't stop his poetic journey. He worked {#blank#}5{#/blank#} more than 10 cities. Whenever he got to a city, he visited the bookstores and libraries there. He took a notebook to write down paragraphs from books and recite(背诵){#blank#}6{#/blank#}( they).

Most of his favorite poems from the Tang Dynasty, and some of them{#blank#}7{#/blank#}( write) by Chairman Mao Zedong. Why? Because he found them easy {#blank#}8{#/blank#}( remember). Over the years, he has read thousands of poems and he can recite more than 1,000 of them now.

Reading poetry {#blank#}9{#/blank#}( help) Zhu stay calm and he never complains about hard work." Whenever I face any difficulty, I think of a famous saying‘ Nothing in the world is difficult for one who sets his mind to it'," he told China Daily.

Zhu's children were {#blank#}10{#/blank#}( interest) in poetry too. They were accepted into universities in different cities.

Over the past 19 years. Gong Xiuze has used his skills to help others—providing free haircuts for nearly 10, 000 people. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} They are mainly the old the disabled and sanitation workers (环卫工人) . 

Gong, 82 years old, used to be a policeman in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} He began to provide free haircuts many years ago. From 1964 to 1968, he stayed in the army. There, he helped others cut their hair. After leaving the army, he became a policeman in Taiyuan and continued (继续) to cut hair for others. 

{#blank#}3{#/blank#} When he walked around in the parks in the city, he often found sanitation workers doing cleaning work in the early morning. He thought that they worked really hard, and he wanted to do something for them. 

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} With these cards, he told them about his free haircut service. He also gave cards to the disabled. They had difficulty moving, so Gong visited them and helped cut their hair at their homes. 

Now, many people look forward to meeting Gong every month. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} "I can feel my value (价值) of life at an old age while helping others, "he said. I will continue the service as long as I can. "
