Several years ago, when I was teaching at a middle school, a girl sent me a message. She found someone write a very1message on her locker. She made a picture of it and then sent it to me asking for2.

A few hours later, I noticed that on her Instagram she had posted that picture and asked if anyone3who did that.

Well, the following day, the girl came to me with a boy. She showed me a4she had received. It was a heartfelt apology. I asked her if she knew who had done it, and the boy replied embarrassedly(尴尬地), "It was me. I don't know why I did it, but I know it was5. So I wrote her this note. I6wanted to do something to try to make up for my meanness."

My heart felt so full of7for this boy. I told him how8he was to come forward and how amazing it was that he did something9to correct his mistake. I10the girl and asked her if she could forgive him. Without hesitation, she said, "Yes."

I think middle school students are not little children any more, and not grown-ups yet. It is normal that they make mistakes. Every day I remind myself that although I am an educator, my students truly love me.

My favorite animals are monkeys (猴子). I like them{#blank#}1{#/blank#} they are smart. Here are some new {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (photo) of monkeys in my phone. They make me happy when I see them. 

There is a monkey festival in my hometown. "Where are you {#blank#}3{#/blank#}?" you may ask. I'm from Lopburi. The festival is important to {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (we). It is usually on {#blank#}5{#/blank#} last Sunday of November. You can see all {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (kind) of foods on the big tables. The food tastes {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (good). It's all for monkeys. The monkeys sometimes fight for food. That {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(sound) funny, right? The monkey festival attracts (吸引) many people every year. People can watch some {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(interest)shows, too. The performers (表演者) wear beautiful clothes. I always have much {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (fun) at the festival. 

Today I turned eight. Today whatever I say goes. 

My grandma is cooler than most grandmas and laughs a lot,1 is the exact opposite. He's that old and serious. "Kids are impolite these days, and have no 2 ." he always says. "All they do is playing video games all the time." But I 3 play video games on weekends!

Anyway, the minute we park on the driveway, I get out and run straight to Grandma 4 Dad, who's still on the phone dealing with his business in the car as usual. "Happy birthday, honey!" Grandma holds me into her arms and says 5 that she's made my favorite chocolate cake.

And then I 6 Grandpa, who is asleep in a rocking chair, snoring （打鼾） like thunder. Can you believe it? On his only grandson's birthday! 

"7 , sleepyhead!" I call out. But more snores followed. An angry storm is coming up inside me.

"Oh, it's Parker's 8 !" Grandma calls out to Grandpa. He coughs. It seems to be ages for him to get to his feet and say, "boy, come here." But I don't 9 . 

"You and I," says Grandpa，rising slowly, "are going on a walk." 

"All right." I know what he's about to say: respect the elders, blah blah blah. But to my 10 , he says in a soft voice, "your parents are always very 11 , aren't they?"

"Hold my arms and help me into that chair. "For a second, I stood still. 12 when I see his legs shaking as he bends his knees, I rush over to hold his arms, I set him down nice and slow. "13 ," he says. He's breathing hard, like he's just climbed a mountain.

I sit down next to him. He covers my hand with his warm one. "Tell 14 all about the video game you like," he says. "Then I'll tell you some stories of my own. And we'll both listen to each other and ask good questions. Deal?"

I 15 in disbelief. And for some strange reason, it feels more like my birthday than ever.

Hi, everybody. Here we're in front of the South Gate. Go straight on, and you'll find the Panda House. Pandas are cute. They like to eat bamboo and lie down all day long. Every year, lots of visitors come here to see them. 

Walk along the road. To the north of the Panda House, you'll find the lions. Lions are the kings of the animal world. Remember that they're dangerous. Never go near them. 

Turn left, and to the west of the Lions' Area, you'll find the World of Birds. Birds make beautiful sounds when they sing. To the north of the World of Birds is the Monkeys' Forest. Monkeys are clever and funny. They jump around and make people laugh. 

Then turn right, and to the east of the Monkeys' Forest, you'll see the giraffes(长颈鹿). They're quite tall. Their long necks help them eat the leaves from trees. 

Northeast of the giraffes there's a bridge. Cross the bridge, and you'll see the elephants. Their large ears are like open fans.
