The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup started on June 7 and went on for a month. Teams from 24 countries met in stadiums (体育场)across France to decide which country had the best women's football team in the world.

It was the eighth FIFA Women's World Cup. The first of it was in 1991 and then it is held every four years. The 24 countries were in six different groups.

People's interest in the Women's World Cup this year was even higher. Over 720,000 tickets were sold. Tickets for the opening game between France and South Korea were sold out in less than two days. Hundreds of millions of people watched the game on TV and on the Internet.

The winning World Cup team got $4 million. The team getting second place got $2.6 million. Teams that didn't do so well got less money.

In all, the women's teams could get $30 million. Though it was twice as much prize money as that in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup,it was still not much, if you compare it with the $400 million given to the 32 teams in last year's Men1 s World Cup.

Norway's Ada Hegerberg (some people believed she was the world's best woman player) didn't even show up at the World Cup. Norway was the first country to give men and women football players the same money, but Ms. Hegerberg didn't think that Norway did well, so she didn't play on the national team.

One day, a successful businessman was getting ready to go to his office in the morning. When he opened the door of his car, a stray dog(流浪狗) sleeping under his car suddenly came out and bit his leg! He was angry and threw a rock at the dog, but he was not able to hit it.

Upon reaching his office, the businessman called a meeting of his managers. During the meeting, he took out his anger on his managers. His managers were upset about this, and took out their own anger on the employees(员工) working under them. Gradually, the businessman's anger spread through the whole company. '

The businessman was still angry after returning home. His wife opened the door. She asked him, "Why are you so late today?" The man shouted at his wife, "I didn't go to the office to play soccer, I went to work. So don't ask me such stupid questions!" His wife was upset about being shouted at for no reason. She turned her anger on their son, who was watching TV. "This is all you do. You have no interest in studying! Turn off the TV now!" She yelled.

The son became upset as well. He walked out of his house and saw a dog passing by. He picked up a rock and threw it at the dog angrily. The dog ran away, barking in pain.

Sometimes, when we are angry about something, we might take out our anger on others who are not to blame for our mood. This is not fair to others. We should learn to control our anger.

27- year- old Pei Haozheng is skilled in creating artworks by using paper. In his eyes, a single piece of paper can make a big difference. He can fold it into anything, from daily objects to ancient people.

Born in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, Pei started folding paper when he was a little kid, because paper was cheap and easy to get. At first, he learned folding from his friends and parents, and later he copied the style from books. From cranes to planes, he was fascinated by(着迷于) the magic world made by paper. Every day, he spent hours folding paper.

In order to improve his folding skills, Pei taught himself through origami(折纸工艺) books. As the number of his works grew, so did the quality. His hard work paid off(得到回报) and then Pei began to create more complex(复杂的) designs.

Pei won the International Origami Internet Olympiad in 2017, combining the art with Chinese cultural ideas. For the event's final task, he folded an ancient Chinese woman holding a mirror from a piece of hand made xuanzhi, a kind of rice paper. The artwork caught the judges'(裁判的) eye with its special shape and Eastern style. In September2022, Pei even set the Guinness World Record for most origami flowers made from a single piece of paper.

Although people might be amazed at the complexity of the designs and skills needed to produce the artworks, Pei is always willing to keep trying new artworks. He said, "I get inspiration from Chinese culture and of course, I want to help Chinese culture go global(走向世界). "
